Roger Federer similarly competes at unbelievable level (40+) as the Demi God Anderson who keeps on giving.

Wide from Joe Root, way too wide, and Keegan Petersen is almost off the wicket as he carves it through the covers.
Jonny Bairstow gets a rapturous ovation from the crowd as he hares after it and keeps it to just three runs.
An absolute gimme first up from Root, a full toss that is merrily thwacked to the boundary by Keegan Petersen.
Joe Root is going to replace Jack Leach.
What a photo that is! Anderson may well be eyeing the Ashes of 2031...
Comparitive youngster Stuart Broad trundles away as thoughts begin to turn towards lunch. Another one keeps low but Rassie van der Dussen does well to dig it out.

Glen Arthur Ezekiel Meskell-Brocken: A shout for Wilfred Rhodes. England batter and bowler at the start of 20th Century. Made his last Test appearance in last Ashes test of 1926. Taking 2-35 and 4-44 in England’s first win against Australia for 19 Tests. He was 49.
A very tidy over from Jack Leach, and a maiden to boot.

LeBron James is in the same category as Jimmy at this age.

Rassie van der Dussen snatches a single as Stuart Broad completes another over.

Rather than the zany short extra cover I'd prefer a third slip.
A healthy edge from Rassie van der Dussen, and the ball flies through a vacant third slip area and away for four.
Van der Dussen gets a nasty thwack from a climbing Broad delivery, the bat juddering in his hands, and he immediately yanks his hand away. That index finger is causing him some discomfort.

Short from Jack Leach and Keegan Petersen doesn't quite get hold of his attempted cut, but there's enough bat on ball to pick up two runs as Stuart Broad gives chase.
From not out...
...to out.
Van der Dussen 5, Petersen 10
Four! Short from Stuart Broad, testing out Rassie van der Dussen's reflexes, and a healthy top edge goes flying over long-leg and away for four.
Van der Dussen is enticed into a little tickle outside his off stump but withdraws his bat just in time, and Ben Foakes does the tidying up around his ankles.

There's a group of fellas in the front row of the temporary stand wearing Jack Leach cutout masks. It's quite a sinister look as they lurk behind Jonny Bairstow, who is fielding down in the deep.
Jack Leach is coming on for a bowl.

If Rassie van der Dussen is not fit to play at the Oval then Ryan Rickelton might be a good option. He's scored hundreds in England so will understand the conditions.
Keegan Petersen inside-edges just past his front pad and Stuart Broad walks back to his mark, clapping and singing along to the crowd before charging in.
He's not even provided the best moment of the morning...

Tom Brady is no comparison to Jimmy. As impressive as it is for TB12 to be playing at 45, a quarterback in American football doesn’t have to run much, just throw. Jimmy’s mastery of pace bowling at his age is unique. Think of how much sprinting he does in a Test match!
