There's a sense that it will be frustrating for the crowd if we call play off with just a handful needed so maybe England have been advised to pile on the runs again if they can. We may also see some spin.

The umpires have a little chat but we're carrying on - for now anyway.

A broad smile from Crawley. Suddenly everything is slotting into place.
Target 130
Chance! Zak Crawley edges one, a routine catch but wicketkeeper leaves it to first slip, and slip leaves it to the keeper and it flies for four instead.
They either didn't see it or there was just no communication.

I haven't got a light meter on me, and even if I did I'm not sure I'd know how to work it. But I don't think it is any lighter than it was when they came off last night.
Target 130
Wristy business! Zak Crawley with a stylish clip off his pads to Ryan Rickelton at short midwicket, technically a chance but that would have been some catch...
Isa Guha
Former England bowler on BBC Test Match Special
Zak Crawley was five from 34 balls in the first innings. He now has a half-century from 36.
Target 130
Well batted, Zak Crawley. He's had his trials but played some lovely shots tonight.
Eng 84-0
Another lovely, crisp shot from Zak Crawley as he hits Rabada to the midwicket boundary for his first 50 of the summer!
Target 130
Zak Crawley struck on the thigh via an inside edge as the umpires look at the light meters. I don't think we'll be playing for too much longer.
Crawley then edges through the slips to the boundary, a no ball as well. That's another belter of a shot from the England opener, on the up and Crawley moves towards his half century.

A fourth umpire has been spotted moving down towards the boundary edge.
Target 130
A play and miss from Alex Lees concludes that over and there's more activity from the umpires.

That's a brilliant shot from Crawley. A classical backfoot drive with an almost vertical bat.
Target 130
It's suddenly looking rather gloomy, to me anyway. Not sure I'd fancy facing 90mph slingers from Anrich Nortje, but Zak Crawley stands tall and slaps a four through the covers. A lovely, lovely shot that.
And then the ying to the yang - a horrible waft, play and miss as up on the balcony Ben Stokes munches on some chicken wings (I think).
Andy Zaltzman
BBC Test Match Special statistician
There have been 558 overs so far in this series. There have only been three shorter three-Test series.
One of those, New Zealand v India in 1995-96, the last two Tests were heavily affected by rain.
The other two were England in South Africa in 1895-96 and the 1888 Ashes series in England.
Target 130
Rabada continues after drinks for South Africa as the shadows begin to lengthen across the Oval surface. Fantastic shot! Zak Crawley pulls a short ball away for four more, real authority behind that stroke.
England are halfway to their target.

The stadium announcer has just said the lightmeter reading taken last night will be used for the remainder of the match.
Eng 60-0
England carting along at five an over. A very nice start indeed.

Crawley just stood tall and hit it through the line. That's a grand shot.
Target 130
Four more to the total and the 50 up for England, that's leg-byes as the rapid Anrich Nortje strays off line. Alex Lees is then able to push him into the off side for a couple as Zak Crawley has a chat with the umpires about something. Light?
Shot! Well he saw that alright, Crawley on his toes to wrap a drive through extra cover for four.
