It is just incredible watching Joe Root.

I didn't know if England would try and force the game today but he is so measured.

He is a true master of the game.

    Need 53 runs to win

The players take a well-deserved drink.

Root and Bairstow are all smiles and sharing a joke together, looking so relaxed.

England are cruising to a target of 378 on the fifth day. Against India. Is this actually real?

  4. Eng 325-3published at 68.4 overs

Short ball from Siraj and it's pulled ... high in the air ... towards the fielder ... but past him for four!

Even when Joe Root's not in control of a shot it still goes to the boundary.

There hasn't been enough dot balls for India. They haven't been able to build the pressure up.

India will reflect on the selections of Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur in this game. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami have created pressure but the change bowlers haven't been able to keep it up.

Thakur, in particular, has had a below average game.

  8. Eng 321-3published at 68 overs

A quiet over, just a single from it.

Gives us all a chance to breathe. And my keyboard gets a rest.

    What. A. Player.

Another boundary takes Joe Root to Test century number 28. He has quite literally been flawless.

We're running out of words to describe him, but that has been pure class.

And guess where the runs came from to get him there? Dabbed down to third, of course.

    Unreal.
