  1. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:29 British Summer Time 29 April 2022

    Curran c Harris b Higgins 64 (Gloucestershire v Surrey 320-5)

Still no maiden first-class hundred for Sam Curran.

His feet go nowhere as he tries to drive Ryan Higgins and the ball flies to Marcus Harris at gully, who makes no mistake.

Surrey still in a good position, but Curran will know the chance for a really big individual score was there.

  3. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:26 British Summer Time 29 April 2022

    Kelly c Critchley b Snater 7 (Essex v Northants 250-8)

No sooner had Northants got their second batting point and they lose their first wicket of the morning.

Matthew Kelly's eyes light up when Shane Snater drops short but he only ends up spooning a catch to Matt Critchley at mid-wicket.

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:25 British Summer Time 29 April 2022

    Gilchrist b Haris Rauf 0 (Yorkshire v Kent 286-9)

    Five wickets for Haris Rauf!

It's an absolute beauty of a yorker which does for Nathan Gilchrist. The Kent number 10 had no answer.

Last man Matt Quinn comes to the middle.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:24 British Summer Time 29 April 2022

Davies run out 19 (Somerset 366-5 v Warwickshire)

Disaster for Somerset and Steven Davies.

The wicketkeeper punches into the off side, sets off for a single, but is sent back by Tom Banton.

Craig Miles hits the stumps and he's well short.

  6. More toil for Glospublished at 11:24 British Summer Time 29 April 2022

    Gloucestershire v Surrey 319-4

Gloucestershire duo Mohammad Amir and Ryan Higgins went wicketless yesterday and they are still striving for a breakthrough this morning.

Glos were in the field for 166 overs against Lancashire last week and with six Surrey wickets still to fall, they could be in for another long stretch in the field.

A no ball going for four byes from Amir doesn't help much, adding six to the total.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:23 British Summer Time 29 April 2022

    Milnes lbw b Thompson 7 (Yorkshire v Kent 281-8)

Second wicket of the morning for the hosts!

Matt Milnes is struck on the pad by Jordan Thompson and up goes the finger.

300 looking a tough ask for Kent now, nevermind 350.

  8. 50 runs

    Essex v Northants 245-7

After seeing out 16 dot balls, Matthew Kelly is finally off the mark for Northants.

Can he bat? You bet he can as he launches a glorious cover drive for four off Sam Cook.

The visitors edging towards a second batting point.

The England man is up to 25 off 18 balls. Notts are building a handy lead at Trent Bridge.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:15 British Summer Time 29 April 2022

    Lamb c Weatherley b Abbas 3 (Hampshire 246 v Lancashire 39-2)

Night-watchman Danny Lamb does not hang around too long this morning.

Mohammad Abbas put it in the right spot, brings Lamb forward and it's edged to Joe Weatherley at third slip.

In-form England hopeful Josh Bohannon is the new man at the crease.

  12. Postpublished at 11:07 British Summer Time 29 April 2022

    Hampshire 246 v Lancashire 38-1

Hampshire would love to copy Lancashire's morning from yesterday when five wickets fell.

They probably need at least a couple of breakthroughs, otherwise the visitors will look to take control of this game.

Keith Barker and Mohammad Abbas have opened the bowling, with four eager catchers waiting for any edges.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:07 British Summer Time 29 April 2022

    Stewart c Duke b Haris Rauf 1 (Yorkshire v Kent 272-7)

Early breakthrough for Yorkshire at Headingley! With the sixth ball of the day in fact.

Grant Stewart flashes at one outside off stump from Haris Rauf and edges behind.

The Pakistan paceman now has 4-53.

  14. Rushworth out with concussionpublished at 11:07 British Summer Time 29 April 2022

    Sussex 88-1 v Durham 223

    Andrew Raeburn
    BBC Radio Sussex at Hove

Durham's experienced seamer Chris Rushworth will play no further part in their Division Two match away at Sussex.

The 35-year-old was hit by a delivery from Tom Clark while batting on day one and has been ruled out of the rest of the match following concussion protocols.

He will be replaced by Oliver Gibson, as a concussion substitute.

  15. Postpublished at 11:05 British Summer Time 29 April 2022

    Yorkshire v Kent 272-6

South Africa all-rounder George Linde and Grant Stewart are in the middle for Kent.

What score can the visitors get to at Headingley? I think they'd probably settle for 350 from here.

  16. 300 runs

300 for Surreypublished at 11:04 British Summer Time 29 April 2022

    Gloucestershire v Surrey 300-4

Surrey only need four balls to bring up their 300 and their third batting point.

Sam Curran punches one off the back foot through the covers to the boundary to get his day up and running. He's now on 61 not out.

The all-rounder has never scored a first-class century...

  17. Postpublished at 11:02 British Summer Time 29 April 2022

    Essex v Northants 233-7

There are a decent number of schoolchildren in at Chelmsford. A fascinating school trip - not quite like a trip to a museum or the zoo!

They look well wrapped up though!

Speaking of wrapping up, that's what Essex will be hoping to do with these last three Northants wickets. Shane Snater resuming with the ball.
