He cleans out James Fuller to bring an end to Hampshire's innings with his fourth wicket.

  4. Lunch at Lord'spublished at 13:21 British Summer Time 21 May 2022

    Middlesex 174-4 v Durham 350

Sam Robson defied Durham throughout the morning at Lord's and reached lunch on 77 not out.

England skipper Ben Stokes picked up the wicket of Josh De Caires, but Durham only managed one other in the session.

Leicestershire get through a 10-over mini-session with only one wicket down, but they need another 403 to avoid an innings defeat at New Road.

The home side added 121 to their overnight 456-3, reaching their highest ever total against Leicestershire.

Azhar Ali was finally out for 225 before Ben Cox saw them to the declaration with an unbeaten 52 off 42 balls.

  6. Lunch at Nottinghampublished at 13:17 British Summer Time 21 May 2022

    Notts 358 v Derbyshire 260 & 44-2

Derbyshire reach the interval two wickets down and trailing by 54.

Stuart Broad struck with his third ball of the day and Dane Paterson removed Brooke Guest shortly before lunch.

It's nicely poised heading into the afternoon session.

  7. Lunch at Northamptonpublished at 13:16 British Summer Time 21 May 2022

    Northants 110-3 v Kent 519-9 dec

A satisfactory morning for Northamptonshire, with nightwatchman Matt Kelly the only batsman dismissed by the Kent attack.

He shared a stand of 61 with Ricardo Vasconcelos before falling lbw to Matt Quiin, but the Northants skipper batted through the entire session and is 51 not out.

They are still 409 behind, so there is a very big job to do if they are to avoid the prospect of following on.

Four overs, four maidens as Lancashire begin the follow-on.

Luke Wells and Keaton Jennings keep their wickets intact going into lunch and will be steeling themselves for a long stint at the crease with Essex holding a huge advantage.

  9. Lunch at Headingleypublished at 13:13 British Summer Time 21 May 2022

    Yorkshire 369-7 v Warwickshire 244

Rob Yates bowls the final over of an extended morning session at Headingley and it is a maiden.

Yorkshire have added exactly 100 runs since the start for the loss of three wickets, including Adam Lyth for 145.

The lead is 125 and Harry Duke is 40 not out, with Matthew Revis on 10.

  10. NZ start well in tour matchpublished at 13:11 British Summer Time 21 May 2022

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

A comfortable morning for New Zealand batting on a good pitch in front of a decent-sized crowd at Hove, reaching 104-0.

Tom Latham and Will Young have been largely untroubled in posting a century opening partnership, although Ollie Robinson did pose some early problems.

Robinson bowled six overs during which he rapped Young on the hand and beat him several times outside the off stump, and looked to be bowling at something approaching full pace.

The only slight disappointment on a glorious day on the south coast is that the game is being played as a friendly not a first class fixture.

You can find the match scorecard here.

    Worcs 577-6 dec v Leics 148 & 24-1

Worcestershire have already brought spinner Josh Baker into the attack at New Road and Lewis Hill has clipped away a full toss for four.

A rank long hop is carved away for four by Lewis Hill in his latest over.

A second wicket for Notts just before lunch as Dane Paterson traps Brooke Guest lbw for 23.

A good time to strike and Derbyshire are still 64 runs behind.

    Big wickets before lunch!

Craig Overton must not have liked Peter Siddle drawing level on three wickets as he promptly traps Kyle Abbott lbw to grab his fourth of the innings.

Mohammad Abbas is the last man in, with Hampshire's lead standing at 45.

    Donald b Siddle 57 (Somerset 211 v Hampshire 255-8)

Peter Siddle has his second of the day and third of the innings as he bowls Aneurin Donald shortly after the Hampshire batter reaches his 50.

Somerset's media team enjoyed that one so much they've tweeted the stump-rattling dismissal so you can enjoy in in slow motion.

    And there's more to come...

    Northants 106-3 v Kent 519-9 dec

    Ricardo VasconcelosImage source, Getty Images

A single off Grant Stewart carries Ricardo Vasconcelos to his 50 from 121 balls. He made a century in the last game against Warwickshire, so he's in pretty decent nick at the moment.

We like to tell you about interesting middle names. The Northants skipper's is Surrador - which sounds like a place name dreamed up by JRR Tolkien or some form of efficacious ointment.

    Patel lbw Pennington 1 (Worcs 577-6 dec v Leics 148 & 6-1)

You feel Leicestershire are standing at the top of a very steep and very slippery slope at New Road.

Rishi Patel plays all around a straight one from Dillon Pennington and there is very little doubt about that one - in fact, he's almost walking off before the umpire gives the decision.

  17. wicket

LANCASHIRE ALL OUT FOR 103published at 12:54 British Summer Time 21 May 2022

    Lancashire 103 v Essex 391

Simon Harmer brings the Lancs innings to an end, dismissing Matt Parkinson for 14.

Phil Salt's 44 helped the hosts get to three figures but it's been a disaster of an innings.

They need the top order to perform an awful lot better when the follow-on is enforced to avoid an innings defeat.

  18. 50 runs

for Aneurin Donaldpublished at 12:52 British Summer Time 21 May 2022

    Somerset 211 v Hampshire 251-7

Hampshire's lead moves to 40 runs as Aneurin Donald takes the applause for a half-century.

    Thompson c Rhodes b McAndrew 16 (Yorks 357-7 v Warwicks 244)

    Jordan Thompson cannot believe it.

A ferocious pull shot is somehow taken by Will Rhodes at mid-on and he spends several moments contemplating his fate before removing his gloves and slowly walking off.

Yorkshire lead by 112 as Matthew Revis comes out to bat.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:44 British Summer Time 21 May 2022

    Salt lbw Critchley 44 (Lancashire 103-9 v Essex 391)

Lancashire are nine down as Phil Salt's rearguard innings comes to end.

A Matthew Critchley delivery ties him up in knots and he's pinned lbw as he attempts to get a shot away on the back foot.

His runs have moved the hosts into three figures which looked a slim prospect earlier this morning but he falls short of a half-century.

Jimmy Anderson is the last man in and deals with the first few deliveries well.
