Aneurin Donald's half-century has helped Hampshire to a lead of 69 runs as the teams head in for refreshments.
Craig Overton (4-57) and Peter Siddle (4-80) did the damage with the ball as they so often do for Somerset.

He cleans out James Fuller to bring an end to Hampshire's innings with his fourth wicket.
Middlesex 174-4 v Durham 350
Sam Robson defied Durham throughout the morning at Lord's and reached lunch on 77 not out.
England skipper Ben Stokes picked up the wicket of Josh De Caires, but Durham only managed one other in the session.
The Middlesex deficit is now 176.
Worcestershire 577-6 dec v Leicestershire 148 & 26-1

The home side added 121 to their overnight 456-3, reaching their highest ever total against Leicestershire.
Azhar Ali was finally out for 225 before Ben Cox saw them to the declaration with an unbeaten 52 off 42 balls.
Notts 358 v Derbyshire 260 & 44-2
Derbyshire reach the interval two wickets down and trailing by 54.
Stuart Broad struck with his third ball of the day and Dane Paterson removed Brooke Guest shortly before lunch.
It's nicely poised heading into the afternoon session.
Northants 110-3 v Kent 519-9 dec
A satisfactory morning for Northamptonshire, with nightwatchman Matt Kelly the only batsman dismissed by the Kent attack.
He shared a stand of 61 with Ricardo Vasconcelos before falling lbw to Matt Quiin, but the Northants skipper batted through the entire session and is 51 not out.
They are still 409 behind, so there is a very big job to do if they are to avoid the prospect of following on.

Luke Wells and Keaton Jennings keep their wickets intact going into lunch and will be steeling themselves for a long stint at the crease with Essex holding a huge advantage.

Rob Yates bowls the final over of an extended morning session at Headingley and it is a maiden.
Yorkshire have added exactly 100 runs since the start for the loss of three wickets, including Adam Lyth for 145.
The lead is 125 and Harry Duke is 40 not out, with Matthew Revis on 10.

A comfortable morning for New Zealand batting on a good pitch in front of a decent-sized crowd at Hove, reaching 104-0.
Tom Latham and Will Young have been largely untroubled in posting a century opening partnership, although Ollie Robinson did pose some early problems.
Robinson bowled six overs during which he rapped Young on the hand and beat him several times outside the off stump, and looked to be bowling at something approaching full pace.
The only slight disappointment on a glorious day on the south coast is that the game is being played as a friendly not a first class fixture.

Worcestershire have already brought spinner Josh Baker into the attack at New Road and Lewis Hill has clipped away a full toss for four.

Peter Siddle has his second of the day and third of the innings as he bowls Aneurin Donald shortly after the Hampshire batter reaches his 50.

You feel Leicestershire are standing at the top of a very steep and very slippery slope at New Road.
Rishi Patel plays all around a straight one from Dillon Pennington and there is very little doubt about that one - in fact, he's almost walking off before the umpire gives the decision.

Simon Harmer brings the Lancs innings to an end, dismissing Matt Parkinson for 14.
Phil Salt's 44 helped the hosts get to three figures but it's been a disaster of an innings.
They need the top order to perform an awful lot better when the follow-on is enforced to avoid an innings defeat.

Hampshire's lead moves to 40 runs as Aneurin Donald takes the applause for a half-century.

His runs have moved the hosts into three figures which looked a slim prospect earlier this morning but he falls short of a half-century.
Jimmy Anderson is the last man in and deals with the first few deliveries well.
