    Somerset 180 & 300-7 v Surrey 382

If Surrey are going to complete victory at Taunton, they'll have to work hard for it because Somerset are putting up spirited resistance with the bat.

Lewis Gregory is still there on 63 and he's found a capable ally in Kasey Aldridge, who's contributed 15 to an unbroken eighth-wicket partnership of 51.

Somerset's lead is almost in three figures now.

  2. Postpublished at 17:56 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Warwickshire 292 & 295-8 v Lancashire 286

Lancashire have been awarded five penalty runs for Warwickshire batters running down the wicket and so their lead is now 296.

Basically add on one run to whatever second-innings score the Bears have got.

  3. NOTTS BEAT LEICESTERSHIREpublished at 17:46 British Summer Time 14 June 2022
    Breaking

Notts (548) beat Leicestershire (440 & 99) by an innings and nine runs

Notts have shot out Leicestershire for just 99 in their second innings to wrap up a big victory.

Liam Patterson-White starred with 4-15 off 13 overs while Harry Swindells was the only batter to go past 20.

Notts go top of Division Two and will stay there with Middlesex heading to defeat at Derbyshire.

  4. Deja vu at Durhampublished at 17:42 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Durham 642-7 dec v Worcs 408-6

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Yesterday afternoon the Durham duo of Ben Raine and Paul Coughlin mirrored each other through the 80s and 90s, both going on to score centuries just moments apart.

Today Worcestershire skipper Brett D'Oliviera and Ed Barnard have done the same. However D'Oliveira was out for 100, knocked over by a delivery by Ben Raine. He fell lbw, repeatedly punching his bat in anger.

Barnard didn't get there until two overs later. Both hit 10x4s in doing so. Their partnership was a record for any wicket by Worcestershire v Durham. It ended on 197. It beat the 195 set last month by Azhar Ali and Jack Haynes at New Road.

The track in Chester-le-Street is really flat and offering little to the bowlers. I suggest this has the making of another high scoring draw, just like the game five weeks ago.

    Brookes c Williams b Wells 55 (Warwickshire 292 & 279-8 v Lancs 286)

Henry Brookes' excellent knock comes to an end as he's caught in the deep off part-time spinner Luke Wells.

He departs with Warwickshire leading by 285.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:39 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Fraine c Brown b Abbott 13 (Hants 410 v Yorkshire 428 & 67-4)

Yorkshire are collapsing late in the day!

Kyle Abbott finds a bit of extra bounce and Will Fraine snicks him behind.

Yorkshire are four down and only lead by 85.

  7. 50 runs

for Brookespublished at 17:38 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Warwickshire 292 & 279-9 v Lancs 286

Henry Brookes goes to fifty for Warwickshire and it's an innings that has taken the game away from Lancashire in the past hour.

Six fours and a six to the Bears number nine as the lead creeps up towards 300.

  8. wicket

    Billings b Dale 43 (Kent 564ao v Gloucs 438)

Sam Billings (Kent)Image source, Getty Images

Those last three Kent wickets go down in the space of just six balls as Sam Billings takes a big swing at Ajeet Singh Dale, misses and his middle stump is uprooted. Tom Price finishes with career-best figures of 5-58

That means Gloucestershire will have to go and bat again tonight, with nine overs to negotiate and a deficit of 126.

Could there yet be a result in a game that's looked odds-on a draw for most of the last two days?

  9. Five-wicket haul for Tom Pricepublished at 17:34 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Duffy b T Price 0 (Kent 564-9 v Gloucs 438)

Out of nowhere, Tom Price suddenly has the first five-wicket haul of his county career!

Jacob Duffy lasts just two balls before the Gloucestershire seamer sends his middle stump flying.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:34 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Brook b Barker 10 (Hants 410 v Yorkshire 428 & 67-3)

The country's in-form batter is gone!

Harry Brook chops on to give Keith Barker his third wicket.

That's Brook's lowest score of the season and only the second time he's failed to go beyond fifty in 11 innings.

  11. 50 runs

for Lewis Gregorypublished at 17:32 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Somerset 180 & 277-7 v Surrey 382

A second half-century in this Somerset innings as Lewis Gregory strokes Cameron Steel for a couple on the leg side, bringing up his 50 from 76 balls.

Somerset's hopes of setting Surrey a tricky target would appear to rest with Gregory - they currently lead by 75.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:30 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Milnes c Hammond b T Price 37 (Kent 564-8 v Gloucs 438)

Matt Milnes' cameo knock is over as he squirts a Tom Price full toss down the throat of long on.

Sam Billings is still there, with Kent leading by 126.

  13. Postpublished at 17:28 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Kent 561-7 v Gloucs 438

That Tom Price hat-trick doesn't appear to have slowed Kent's progress - quite the reverse, in fact.

Matt Milnes has decided it's time to crank things up, slamming Zafar Gohar for two big sixes to reach 34 from 26 balls.

He and Sam Billings have added 50 already for the eight wicket - could Kent, who now lead by 123, be eyeing a declaration to try and put the Gloucestershire batters under some pressure?

  14. ENGLAND BEAT NEW ZEALANDpublished at 17:28 British Summer Time 14 June 2022
    Breaking

England (299-5) beat New Zealand by five wickets

I'm sure it's not passed you by what's been going on at Trent Bridge over the past couple of hours.

England have just completed a remarkable win over New Zealand, led by Jonny Bairstow's 136 off 92 balls and an unbeaten 75 from captain Ben Stokes.

You can follow all the reaction here.

  15. 6 runs

Postpublished at 17:27 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Warwickshire 292 & 263-7 v Lancs 286

    Even better from Henry Brookes!

He pumps George Balderson back over his head for four then swats the Lancashire seamer for six to go to 43.

  16. Postpublished at 17:24 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Warwickshire 292 & 249-7 v Lancs 286

Warwickshire number nine Henry Brookes is playing a gem of an innings for his side.

He hits spinner Luke Wells for a couple of fours at the start and end of the over to move to 33.

The Bears now lead by 255. What a final day there is in store at Edgbaston.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:16 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Lyth c Brown b Barker 22 (Hants 410 v Yorkshire 428 & 55-2)

Keith Barker is being rewarded for a fine spell here.

The left-arm seamer gets Adam Lyth caught behind.

There's still life in this game yet with Yorkshire leading by 73.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:16 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Van der Merwe lbw b Atkinson 2 (Somerset 180 & 249-7 v Surrey 382)

Roelof van der Merwe is the seventh Somerset batter to depart, leg before to Gus Atkinson - although he may feel he'd got sufficiently forward to get the benefit of the doubt.

However, the umpire's finger was raised and Somerset must do their best to stretch this 47-run lead as Lewis Gregory is joined by Kasey Aldridge.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:14 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Masood c Robson b Bamber 98 (Derbys 145-3, target 219 v Middlesex)

    Derbyshire's run-machine is out for 98!

Shan Masood hits Ethan Bamber to gully and falls short of a fourth century of the campaign.

He's still nine short of 1,000 runs for the season.

Derbyshire should still win it from here - 74 needed with seven wickets in hand, but that's a big blow.

  20. 100 runs

for Daviespublished at 17:00 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Warwickshire 292 & 221-7 v Lancs 286

Century for Alex Davies in his 100th first-class match!

Is it a match-winning one against his former county?

It's come off 181 balls with 11 fours and a six.

The Bears lead by 227 and still have three wickets in hand to build that lead. What a crucial innings this has been.
