WICKETpublished at 15:22 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Leaning c O Price b Gohar 128 (Kent 453-4 v Gloucs 438)

No, you read that right - there has been a wicket at Canterbury! The first time we've said that today...

Kent's fourth-wicket pair have finally been parted after a stand of 254, with Jack Leaning's sweep off Zafar Gohar ending up in the hands of Ollie Price at deep square leg.

Sam Billings, who's had his pads on all day, is finally at the wicket.

  2. Division Two latestpublished at 15:22 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

Derbyshire's run-machine Shan Masood is up and running once again as they chase 219 to beat Middlesex.

Masood has 39 of their 61-2 at Chesterfield.

Glamorgan may have collapsed from 333-1, but they're still 71 ahead of Sussex on 447-8 in Cardiff.

Leicestershire are really wobbling in their second innings against Notts. They're 40-3 and still 68 in arrears.

And as we just heard from Martin Emmerson, Worcestershire are going along nicely at Chester-le-Street on 329-5, trailing by 313.

  3. Postpublished at 15:17 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Hants 410 v Yorkshire 428 & 2-0

Adam Lyth and first-innings century-maker George Hill get things going for Yorkshire in their second innings.

Hampshire will be hunting early wickets with the lead only at 20.

  4. Half-centuries for D'Oliveira & Barnardpublished at 15:09 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Durham 642-7 dec v Worcs 321-5

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Worcestershire skipper Brett D'Oliveira has reached his half-century. But more importantly he and Ed Barnard have put together a 100 run partnership for the sixth wicket.

It took a patient 168 balls but there are clearly plenty of runs to be had in Chester-le-Street this week after Durham made 642-7 yesterday.

Barnard has 58 and Worcestershire trail by 320.

Durham took the new ball nine overs ago but there hasn't been a wicket since lunch and only two fell this morning.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:06 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Fuller c Lyth b Thompson 37 (Hants 410 v Yorkshire 428)

Hampshire are all out for 410.

James Fuller skies Jordan Thompson to Adam Lyth at deep mid-wicket and is on his way for a really useful 37.

Thompson finishes with 4-68 and Yorkshire will take a lead of 18 into their second innings.

  6. Postpublished at 15:01 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Kent 421-3 v Gloucs 438

No let-up from Jack Leaning and Jordan Cox, who have now added 222 for the fourth wicket as Kent move closer to a first-innings lead.

And probably worth noting that the county's record first-class stand of 423 was compiled by these two, against Sussex two years ago on the same ground.

Leaning and Cox both hit unbeaten double centuries in that game - will history repeat itself against a tiring Gloucestershire attack?

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:54 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Abbott c Brook b Thompson 38 (Hants 407-9 v Yorkshire 428)

    How Yorkshire needed that.

Kyle Abbott pulls Jordan Thompson into the leg-side but is caught by Harry Brook at deep square-leg.

It ends a stand of 74 with James Fuller.

  8. Postpublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Hants 406-8 v Yorkshire 428

Hampshire are eyeing a first-innings lead now!

This ninth-wicket stand of 73 between Kyle Abbott and James Fuller has turned the game around since lunch.

  9. Postpublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Somerset 180 & 146-4 v Surrey 382

Somerset are still fighting hard at Taunton, with Steve Davies driving Gus Atkinson for back-to-back boundaries on the off side.

Davies has progressed to 18, with Lewis Goldsworthy alongside him on 13. Still another 56 required to make Surrey bat again.

  10. Postpublished at 14:45 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Warwickshire 292 & 122-5 v Lancashire 286

Every run is crucial at Edgbaston and Michael Burgess has just struck George Balderson for three fours in four balls.

Burgess has 25 off 23 deliveries and the lead is 128. Still so finely balanced.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:33 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Byrom c Haines b Lenham 176 (Glamorgan 403-7 v Sussex 376)

Ed Byrom's mammoth 311-ball innings finally ends in Cardiff at the hands of spinner Archie Lenham.

The Glamorgan opener is on his way for a career-best 176.

Sussex have now taken six wickets for 70 after Glamorgan were 333-1 before lunch.

  12. 100 runs

for Cox & Leaningpublished at 14:32 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Kent 394-3 v Gloucs 438

Jordan Cox (Kent)Image source, Rex Features

It was nip and tuck between Jordan Cox and Jack Leaning as to who would register a hundred first - and in the end it's Cox who gets there first, reverse sweeping Miles Hammond for four.

It's a second Championship ton of the season for Cox, coming up from 178 balls - but a first in the campaign for Leaning, who follows suit in the next over and is 16 deliveries slower than his partner.

  13. 6 runs

Postpublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Hants 378-8 v Yorkshire 428

And another six for James Fuller. This time he swats Dom Bess square.

    Hampshire now trail by 50.

Fuller and Kyle Abbott have put on 45.

  14. 6 runs

Postpublished at 14:22 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Hants 365-8 v Yorkshire 428

James Fuller strikes Dom Bess for back-to-back sixes and brings the deficit down to 63.

The first is straight down the ground - huge. The second slightly more leg-side and not quite as well timed, but still a max.

    Crucial runs for Hants.

They're still well in this game.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:19 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Abell run out 44 (Somerset 180 & 118-4 v Surrey 382)

Disaster for Somerset skipper Tom Abell!

He drives Jamie Overton on the leg side, returns for the second and is run out by Gus Atkinson's throw from the deep!

Somerset are four down now, still trailing by 84.

  16. Division Two latestpublished at 14:13 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

Leaders Middlesex have collapsed from 157-4 to 196 all out meaning Derbyshire will need 219 for victory at Chesterfield.

Worcestershire are 255-5 at Durham but still a long way behind. They trail by 387.

Sussex's fightback continues against Glamorgan. They've taken a sixth wicket after lunch to leave the hosts 382-6. Ed Byrom is still there on 167.

Notts have built a big first-innings lead of 108 at Leicestershire but their innings ends with some concern as Tom Moores is hit in the throat area by a Wiaan Mulder bouncer. He's forced to retire hurt on 81 with Notts on 548-9.

WICKETpublished at 14:11 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Banton c Smith b Overton 31 (Somerset 180 & 111-3 v Surrey 382)

Jamie Overton has been fairly expensive so far - but Surrey won't mind that too much as the ex-Somerset seamer breaks this partnership!

Tom Banton is the man to go, caught down the leg side and Lewis Goldsworthy is in to join Tom Abell. Overton immediately greets the new batter with a searing bouncer - you get the feeling there may be more where that came from...

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:07 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Lamb b Williams 3 (Warwickshire 292 & 95-5 v Lancashire 286)

    MIDDLE STUMP OUT THE GROUND!

Matt Lamb plays all around an inswinger from Will Williams and it comprehensively bowled.

Williams has taken three wickets since lunch and Lancashire are now on top.

The Bears only lead by 101 with five wickets remaining.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:04 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Barker b Bess 38 (Hants 333-8 v Yorkshire 428)

Keith Barker tries to reverse sweep Dom Bess but misses and the ball clatters into the timbers.

Hampshire are facing a sizeable first-innings deficit at The Ageas Bowl.

They trail by 95 with two wickets in hand.

  20. Postpublished at 13:56 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Somerset 180 & 101-2 v Surrey 382

This is turning into a very useful partnership for Somerset, with two of their Toms (Abell and Banton) adding 64 so far.

The pair have steered Somerset's second-innings total into three figures and they're now halfway towards wiping out the deficit altogether.
