  1. 50 runs

for Daviespublished at 13:55 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Warwickshire 292 & 88-4 v Lancashire 286

Warwickshire opener Alex Davies goes to fifty and what a crucial knock it's been for his side.

Even though they've just lost those two wickets, they've still got a decent lead of 94.

Anything north of 200 and the Bears will feel they've got a chance.

  2. wicket

    Donald lbw b Revis 30 (Hants 325-7 v Yorkshire 428)

    Big wicket for Yorkshire.

Matt Revis gets Aneurin Donald lbw to leave Hampshire seven down and still trailing by 103.

James Fuller joins Keith Barker in the middle.

    Rhodes b Williams 0 (Warwickshire 292 & 83-4 v Lancs 286)

Will Williams has turned this game on its head in the space of 10 minutes after lunch!

Will Rhodes attempts to leave one that bends back in and the ball clatters into the stumps.

Lancashire have taken two wickets in four balls and it's a dream over for their debutant paceman.

  4. wicket

    Hain lbw b Williams 19 (Warwickshire 292 & 83-3 v Lancs 286)

    Gone!

Will Williams smacks Sam Hain on the back pad in front of the stumps and he's out lbw.

    But that's not all...

  6. 'Somerset still have hope'published at 13:30 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Somerset 180 & 93-2 v Surrey 382

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Somerset's hopes of taking this game into a fourth day are still alive, after a morning in which they polished off the last two Surrey wickets in the first over - Hashim Amla still not well enough to bat - and then made good headway in their second innings, albeit losing two wickets in the process.

On a good pitch and with the ball defying all of the Surrey seamers' efforts to get it to swing, the two Toms, Abell and Banton, have made largely untroubled progress in a partnership so far worth 56.

  7. Sussex strike back after Glamorgan recordspublished at 13:18 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Glamorgan 361-5 v Sussex 376

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

There’s been a remarkable fightback by Sussex after a morning session of Glamorgan records in Cardiff.

Colin Ingram and Ed Byrom set a new best second wicket stand of 328 for the county, Ingram hitting a Championship best of 178, and Byrom a career-best 153 not out, but Henry Crocombe struck back in a three-wicket burst just before lunch.

Ingram and Byrom overtook the previous best of 291 set by Marnus Labuschagne and Nick Selman just three years ago, also against Sussex but in Hove.

Sussex should have made a breakthrough with the new ball as Byrom, on 126, was dropped by Kiwi keeper Tim Seifert off a simple chance off Sean Hunt.

Eventually Crocombe had Ingram caught at mid-wicket, yorked Sam Northeast first ball, and had Kiran Carlson given out caught behind for two.

Hunt joined in by pinning Billy Root lbw for 5 and Glamorgan’s hopes of a big first-innings lead had dramatically fallen away.

  9. Postpublished at 12:57 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Kent 337-3 v Gloucs 438

Clearly Kent weren't too bothered about the chance for an extra bonus point - they've just played out two maidens from Zafar Gohar and made no real effort to push the total up to 350.

That seems surprising, given Kent's position in the table and it looks as though their main aim is to ensure they don't lose to a relegation rival.

Gloucestershire's need for a win is perhaps the greater, but it'll need a startling flurry of wickets this afternoon for that prospect to materialise.

  10. 'No idea which way it's going'published at 12:57 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Warwickshire 292 & 70-2 v Lancahire 286

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

I've no idea which way this game is going, it's been a terrific match so far and both sides are very much in with a chance of a win.

Former Lancashire batter, Alex Davies has failed three times against his old side this season, Tom Bailey dismissing him on each occasion. He's come out with good intent to score and leave his mark on the game; could Sam Hain be the key man for the Bears again?

    Warwickshire 292 & 70-2 v Lancashire 286

Alex Davies is looking in fine fettle against his old side.

The Warwickshire opener moves into the 40s by pumping England spinner Matt Parkinson for six.

Warwickshire lead by 76 with the in-form Sam Hain also at the crease.

  12. Postpublished at 12:43 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Kent 330-3 v Gloucs 438

Plenty of toil and no reward for Gloucestershire's bowlers at Canterbury, where Jack Leaning and Jordan Cox have continued to eat into that deficit.

Leaning is 75 not out, with Cox on 63 and they look well-placed to pinch a fourth batting point, with 20 needed from the next four overs.

  13. Postpublished at 12:36 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Somerset 180 & 81-2 v Surrey 382

Somerset may be up against it, but they're certainly going for their shots and, as a result, the deficit is rapidly getting smaller.

Tom Abell has looked strong on the leg-side and he's just clipped Gus Atkinson through mid-wicket for his fifth boundary to reach 31, while Tom Banton is 13 not out.

    Ingram c Alsop b Crocombe 178 (Glamorgan 333-2 v Sussex 376)

Sussex FINALLY break Glamorgan's second-wicket stand.

Colin Ingram pulls a short one from Henry Crocombe into the hands of Tom Alsop.

He put on a record-breaking 328 with Ed Byrom who's still there on 145.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:18 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Yates b Balderson 8 (Warwickshire 292 & 35-2 v Lancashire 286)

George Balderson comes around the wicket to left-hander Rob Yates and gets a beauty to nip through him.

    Warwickshire are wobbling.

  16. 50 runs

for Jordan Coxpublished at 12:18 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Kent 304-3 v Gloucs 438

Another half-centurion for Kent as Jordan Cox joins Jack Leaning in the 50s, cutting Zafar Gohar to the boundary.

Cox exactly matches Leaning's tally of deliveries to get there - 112 balls - and it's his fifth Championship half-century this season.

That comes just after Leaning brought up the pair's hundred partnership, sweeping Glenn Phillips for four and ushering Kent to their third batting bonus point in the process.

    Brown c Fraine b Drakes 83 (Hants 268-6 v Yorkshire 428)

Dominic Drakes gets his first wicket for Yorkshire and it's the big one of Ben Brown.

The paceman finds the edge of the Hampshire batter and Will Fraine clings on at slip.

    Yorkshire are back in control.

  18. Division Two updatepublished at 12:02 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

Leaders Middlesex are building a handy lead against Derbyshire at Chesterfield. They're on 152-4 - an advantage of 174.

Notts have gone ahead of Leicestershire in a high-scoring game at The Uptonsteel County Ground. 451-6 plays 440 all out.

Jack Haynes is continuing his fine season for Worcestershire. He has 54 in the Pears' 172-4. But they still trail Durham by 470.

The second-wicket stand between Glamorgan pair Colin Ingram and Ed Byrom against Sussex is now worth 311. They've already broken the second-wicket record for the county this morning.

    Lammonby c Worrall by Atkinson 20 (Somerset 180 & 37-2 v Surrey 382)

Tom Lammonby's lively knock of 20 from 24 balls comes to an end as he tries to pull Gus Atkinson and top-edges to mid-on, where Dan Worrall clasps the ball safely.

Both Somerset openers now back in the hutch, with the deficit still 165...

    Hants 257-5 v Yorkshire 428

Ben Brown and Aneurin Donald have settled things down for Hampshire after the early wicket of Liam Dawson.

Hants trail by 171. A couple of quick wickets would change things dramatically and Yorkshire have the new ball in their hand.
