    Wickets tumbling in Division One!

  3. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:52 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Goldsworthy c Smith b Jacks 67 (Somerset 180 & 234-6 v Surrey 382)

A valiant innings by Lewis Goldworthy comes to an end as he edges behind off Will Jacks, who now has his second wicket.

Roelof van der Merwe is out there now to join Lewis Gregory.

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:49 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Linde b T Price 0 (Kent 511-6 v Gloucs 438)

In the context of this game, can we call this a collapse by Kent??

Two wickets in two balls for Tom Price as he rips out George Linde's off stump first ball.

The Gloucestershire bowler will be on a hat-trick at the start of his next over!

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:49 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Hill c Vince b Barker 17 (Hants 410 v Yorkshire 428 & 36-1)

Something has happened at The Ageas Bowl. A wicket!

First-innings centurion George Hill pokes at one outside off stump from Keith Barker and edges it to slip where James Vince takes a diving catch.

If Hants can get another two or three wickets tonight, they might feel they've got a victory chance.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:45 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Cox c Bracey b T Price 158 (Kent 511-5 v Gloucs 438)

There won't be a double hundred this time for Jordan Cox, but what an innings it's been - almost five and a half hours at the crease and he's made sure that, at worst, Kent won't lose this game.

Tom Price eventually collects Cox's wicket as he dabs one through to James Bracey.

    And then...

It's slow going at The Ageas Bowl.

Something needs to happen or this game will drift to a draw on the final day.

  8. 150 runs

for Jordan Coxpublished at 16:36 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Kent 500-4 v Gloucs 438

Jordan Cox just keeps going and going... he's up to 150 now and he's lifted the Kent total to 500 in the process.

Cox has faced 256 balls so far, but he's still some way short of his career-best - that's the unbeaten 238 against Sussex we mentioned earlier.

  9. 'Good afternoon session for Glamorgan'published at 16:31 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Glamorgan 494 v Sussex 376 & 3-0

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

A good session for Glamorgan adding 133 before being dismissed on the stroke of tea.

The hosts had lost 5-39 either side of lunch, but the tail wagged to good effect against a tired looking Sussex attack

Henry Crocombe was the pick of the Sussex attack with a career best 4-84, Ed Byrom’s excellent 176 was also a career best before he was 7th out.

This is still a slow pitch which is keeping increasingly low, and the lead of 118 could be invaluable for Glamorgan

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:30 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Briggs c sub b Williams 18 (Warwickshire 292 & 195-7 v Lancs 286)

Lancashire strike straight after tea at Edgbaston!

Will Williams gets his fourth wicket, dismissing Danny Briggs via a leading edge to mid-on.

What a game we've got on our hands here. The Bears lead by 201 with three wickets in hand.

  11. Division Two latestpublished at 16:28 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

Derbyshire are going well in pursuit of 219 to beat Division Two leaders Middlesex. Shan Masood has 59 with his side 95-2 at Chesterfield.

Worcestershire's sixth-wicket pair of Brett D'Oliveira and Ed Barnard continue to pile up the runs at Durham. They're 353-5 with their stand worth 145.

Leicestershire are in all sorts of bother at tea against Notts on 70-5. They still need another 38 to avoid an innings defeat.

Glamorgan were eventually bowled out for 494 by Sussex for a first-innings lead of 118. Sussex have just started their second innings.

  12. Tea at Tauntonpublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Somerset 180 & 222-5 v Surrey 382

Somerset have battled hard during the afternoon and now hold a slender lead of 20 against Surrey, albeit with just five wickets remaining.

Lewis Goldsworthy is undefeated on a career-best 63, with his fellow Lewis (Gregory) on 12 not out.

  13. Tea at Edgbastonpublished at 16:06 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Warwickshire 292 & 194-6 v Lancashire 286

Eight sessions into this match at Edgbaston and we're no closer to knowing which way it's going to go.

Alex Davies, unbeaten on 93, may have just given the hosts the upper hand. They lead by 200 with four wickets remaining.

  14. 50 runs

for Lewis Goldsworthypublished at 15:59 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Somerset 180 & 197-5 v Surrey 382

Not a memorable stroke by Lewis Goldsworthy - he top-edges Jordan Clark over the wicketkeeper's head for four - but a moment the Somerset youngster won't forget as he reaches a maiden first-class half-century.

Somerset would love him to turn that into a hundred...

  15. Tea at The Ageas Bowlpublished at 15:58 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Hants 410 v Yorkshire 428 & 22-0

George Hill and Adam Lyth take Yorkshire to tea unscathed.

It does feel like this game is heading towards a draw with Yorkshire's lead only 40 and four sessions to go.

  16. Postpublished at 15:54 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Warwickshire 292 & 188-6 v Lancashire 286

Bears opener Alex Davies goes into the 90s.

Can he bring up a magnificent century against his former county?

He might not get time to do it before tea. Three overs to go before the break.

  17. Tea at Canterburypublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Kent 468-4 v Gloucs 438

Jordan Cox (Kent)Image source, Getty Images

Gloucestershire finally managed to see the back of Jack Leaning, but Jordan Cox - who shared a 254-run partnership with him - remains at the crease and Kent now have a first-innings lead of 30.

Cox is unbeaten on 139, with Sam Billings (6 not out) at the other end and Kent must now be wondering whether they can build a sufficient advantage to put the visitors under some pressure tomorrow.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Davies lbw b Jacks 29 (Somerset 180 & 191-5 v Surrey 382)

Will Jacks comes back on for Surrey and immediately makes a much-needed breakthrough!

Steve Davies attempts to sweep Jacks and is pinned in front of the stumps to end his 72-run partnership with Lewis Goldsworthy.

Somerset are five down and still trail by 11 runs.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:35 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Burgess c Vilas b Bailey 46 (Warwickshire 292 & 165-6 v Lancs 286)

    Tom Bailey strikes!

Michael Burgess, who'd played so well for his 46, snicks the Lancashire paceman behind.

Warwickshire's lead is 171. This game at Edgbaston remains in the balance!

  20. Postpublished at 15:30 British Summer Time 14 June 2022

    Somerset 180 & 169-4 v Surrey 382

Lewis Goldsworthy and Steve Davies have now completed a 50 partnership for Somerset, who are edging closer to parity against Surrey.

They need 33 more to make Surrey bat again, but of course a wicket or two before tea might put that scenario in some doubt.
