The maestro* strikes again.
It's pretty much identical to the ball which bowled Marcus Harris earlier in the innings.
Not much Miles Hammond could have done - it was just too good.
*perhaps not the best choice of word, we used to drive an Austin Maestro and it's performance bore little relation to the way Harmer plays cricket

Ben Brown is forced onto the back foot by Nathan McAndrew but a thick outside edge finds the boundary and carries him to an 86-ball fifty. Brown has gone past 550 Championship runs for the season in this innings. Hampshire lead by 117.

The words going through Shannon Gabriel's head probably aren't best repeated after he has Rory Burns caught at slip - but it's called no-ball. He has sent down nine in the innings so far.

A freebie for Miles Hammond from Simon Harmer and he cuts it away for four to take the Gloucestershire total past 50 and move on to 19 not out.
Hammond is looking to score whenever the opportunity presents itself - as it just did - while Chris Dent appears content to grind it out at the other end.

Chris Dent is hanging on grimly at Chelmsford but his heart must have been his mouth as an outside edge fell just short of first slip and ran away for four.
Almost a third wicket for Simon Harmer there, but Dent is 14 not out.
Gloucestershire's deficit is now 139 and there are 21 overs left in the day's play.
