for Keaton Jenningspublished at 17:53 British Summer Time 13 July 2022

    Lancs 585-5 v Somerset 446

A brilliant moment for Keaton Jennings - he moves to 300 from 414 deliveries - stunning!

This is the highest score in English first-class cricket in five years. Sean Dickson was the last triple-centurion - he made 318 for Kent against Northamptonshire in 2017.

More stats? Jennings becomes the sixth Lancastrian to score 300, and just the third since the war. Neil Fairbrother made 366 against Surrey in 1990, and Jason Gallian 312 against Derbyshire in 1996.

He still has some way to go for Lancashire's record score, which is the 424 made by Archie MacLaren in 1895.

    Worrall st Tattersall b Bess 26 (Yorkshire 521 v Surrey 515)

Dan Worrall goes down the track, changes his mind about going for a big shot, but it's too late and Jonny Tattersall has the bails off - his third stumping of the innings.

Wonder if that impressed Ben Foakes, who is left high and dry on 85 not out at the other end.

So Surrey are just six runs behind and barring an unexpected collapse, the train from Scarborough is heading for Drawsville.
