Out! Short and wide and Brookes has slapped it straight to Charlesworth at third man.

A bad ball and a soft dismissal.

    Gloucs v Warwks 249-7

Brookes plays out a maiden over, bowled by Zafar.

Ajeet Singh-Dale bowls to Dom Sibley on 98 and he leaves outside the off stump.

An awkward bumper strikes the glove and Sibley gets away for a single as the ball lands safely.

That's the closest he's been to getting out since he gloved a ball just short of sub fielder Dom Goodman at point when he was on 14.

He now has 99 from 234 balls.

    It's not a sprint. It's a marathon.

It's an absolute beauty from Matt Quinn, cutting Vince in half and taking the inside edge. Ollie Robinson makes no mistake behind the stumps.

for Tom Abellpublished at 16:56 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Somerset 248-3 v Northants

Tom Abell is one of those batters - like former team-mate James Hildreth - who you feel really does deserve some sort of international recognition.

Three runs off Ben Sanderson carries him to his fourth Championship hundred of the season off 164 balls - and he has also now passed 900 runs for the season.

Shane Snater clearly isn't aware he's batting on a minefield.

He's brought back down to earth by the spin of Tom Hartley, who pins Snater bang in front of the stumps.
