  1. New career-best for Lloydpublished at 16:17 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Glamorgan 250-3 v Derbyshire

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

Glamorgan captain David Lloyd notched up a new career-best as he moved past his previous highest score of 121, achieved in a run-fest at the Oval at the end of last season.

Lloyd added 117 for the second wicket with championship debutant Tom Bevan, who was caught for a patient 48 off spinner Alex Thomson.

Sam Northeast was bowled for 22 by a fine delivery from Luis Reece, who like Anuj Dal bowled accurate spells without much reward.

Lloyd then shared a 50 partnership with Billy Root as Glamorgan aimed for a substantial first innings score on a pitch already offering some turn to Thomson.

Derbyshire seamer Ben Aitchison suffered an early ankle injury, bowling just nine deliveries in the morning session and none in the afternoon despite being on the field.

  2. Play resumes at the Ageas Bowlpublished at 16:14 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Hampshire 1-0 v Kent 165

Felix Organ and Ian Holland stride out to the middle for Hampshire.

A huge LBW shout from Harry Podmore and the Kent cordon starts proceedings, but it's turned down by the umpire.

    Surrey 265-5 v Yorks

Ben Mike bangs one in half-way down.

He's not quick enough for that and Ollie Pope eases it away square with a horizontal bat for four runs.

Undaunted, Mike tries it again later in the over and Jordan Clark is fortunate to see a top edge fall into a gap and he comes through for two.

Another short one from Mike and this time Clark anticipates it and slashes it away over third man for six. An expensive over.

  4. wicket

WICKET Rossington c Bell b Williams 4published at 16:12 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Essex 77-6 v Lancs 131

Another one goes for Essex. Adam Rossington nicks one through to George Bell, who takes a sharp catch away to his right.

Alastair Cook is still there on 29 - Simon Harmer joins him.

  5. Bears pass 200 at Bristolpublished at 16:11 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Gloucs v Warwks 203-6

Briggs moves to 40 with a back foot drive through point off Ollie Price for four runs.

At the other end, Dom Sibley whips Van Buuren through square leg for four more - and that's a first batting point for the visitors.

  6. 50 runs

for George Bartlettpublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Somerset 193-2 v Northants

George Bartlett steers Tom Taylor down to third man for four and there is his 50 off 111 balls faced. Very good innings for his side.

  7. Roderick runs riot at New Roadpublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Worcs 226-5 v Notts

He takes successive boundaries off Patterson-White with a paddle-swept four down to fine leg and a six and a gorgeous lofted drive over long off for six.

Quite a recovery for the Pears from the depths of 99-5.

This has been a recurring theme today.....

    Surrey 251-5 v Yorks

Hampshire bowling out Kent for 165 and taking all three bowling points means Surrey now know - if they didn't already - that every run is precious in their home game against Yorkshire.

They began the match with an eight-point lead and Jordan Clark's boundary off Steve Patterson to fine leg means they now have two batting points, meaning their lead in the title race is now seven.

It's all looking good for an exciting title climax next week.

  10. Division Two Round-uppublished at 16:06 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

Here's the latest from our Division Two games, outside of Worcester...

Half centuries from Stevie Eskinazi (64) and John Simpson (53 not out) have rescued Middlesex from 91-4 to 214-5 against Leicestershire at Grace Road.

Mike Finan and Tom Scriven have two wickets each for the hosts.

Derbyshire have dismissed Tom Bevan and Sam Northeast since lunch but Glamorgan remain in a strong position on 241-3 at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff.

Captain David Lloyd is 122 not out.

In an extended session of play at Chester-le-Street, Sussex have been bowled out for 162 by Durham, with three wickets each for Matt Potts and Paul Coughlin.

  11. 50 runs

50 for Roderickpublished at 16:04 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Worcs 215-5 v Notts

A touch more fluent than D'Oliveira's half century but no less important.

He reaches the milestone off 117 balls with his sixth four, which comes from a back foot drive through the covers.

Four more off Paterson as he pulls a short ball through square leg.

  12. Postpublished at 16:04 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Somerset 185-2 v Northants

The runs are coming more easily now for Somerset.

George Bartlett drives Saif Zaib's left-arm spin to the extra cover boundary and he is now 47 not out.

Partner Tom Abell is on 71.

  13. Warwickshire frustrate Gloucesterpublished at 16:01 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Gloucs v Warwks 179-6

Shot! Briggs moves to 24 with a sweetly timed drive off the back foot through the covers for four.

A sliding stop at fine leg restricts a Briggs deflection to a single.

At the other end, Dale strikes Briggs on the pad but an LBW shout is turned down. Probably too high.

  14. Postpublished at 16:00 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Essex 68-5 v Lancs 131

Parkinson then rags one past the outside edge of Adam Rossington's bat. It beats George Bell behind the stumps and goes away for four byes.

Welcome to the crease Adam - it's turning miles and keeping low, good luck.

  15. wicket

WICKET Khushi b Parkinson 17published at 15:56 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Essex 64-5 v Lancs 131

    First ball after tea!

Feroze Khushi goes back to Matt Parkinson, and it skids through onto the stumps before the Essex batter can jam his bat down.

The hosts are danger of not passing Lancashire's first innings total here.

  16. Pears pass 200published at 15:53 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Worcs 204-5 v Notts

Roderick clips Paterson in front of square for a single.

Two balls later, D'Oliveira whips a short ball through mid wicket for four.

The Pears look comfortable at the moment.

  17. Postpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Somerset 173-2 v Northants

Jack White strays onto Tom Abell's pads and is put away unerringly through mid-wicket for four.

The boundary brings up a 100 partnership between Abell - who is now 66 not out - and George Bartlett.

  18. Postpublished at 15:51 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Gloucs v Warwks 172-6

Sibley ducks under a short delivery from Dale.

He has 70 from 183 balls.

Zafar is worked into the on side by Briggs but there's no run.

He's bringing the batter forward and Briggs has to defend.

Maiden. Nine overs left before the new ball is due.

  19. wicket

WICKET Gilchrist c Fuller b Abbas 13published at 15:50 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Hampshire v Kent 165

Gilchrist has another big hack at Mohammad Abbas, but it skews off a thick outside edge down to James Fuller at third man.

Kent are all out for 165 - Ben Compton top scoring with 63.

  20. Tea delayed at Riversidepublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Durham v Sussex 150-9

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

The players were just about to go off for tea when the ninth Sussex wicket fell bringing us an extra half hour of play before the scheduled interval.

It's been a tough day for a young Sussex side which is a tad over 21 when it comes to average age.

The lights have been on all day and we have had heavy cloud cover which has helped the ball to seam around.

Only two Sussex players have got into the 30s. Ali Orr made 36 and Faheem Ashraf 33. Six have failed to reach double figures.

Paul Coughlin and Matty Potts have taken three wickets each.
