    Worcs 390 v Notts 53-4

    Horrid dismissal.

James thought it was seaming away and is bowled offering no shot as the ball jags back in.

Time for captain Steven Mullaney to bat.

    Worcs 390 v Notts 53-3

A back foot push off Matt Waite through mid-wicket takes Hameed to a hard earned milestone for the season.

Notts are in trouble here but there's plenty of hope for the visitors with Hameed at the crease.

It's the first time he has reached 1,000 in a season since 2016.

LANCASHIRE WIN BY 38 RUNSpublished at 13:58 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

    Essex 107 & 59 v Lancs 131 & 73

Will Williams removes Sam Cook, and Lancashire have won the most remarkable of games at Chelmsford.

Serious questions will be asked of the pitch, and rightly so, but take nothing away from the visitors, who had to battle seriously hard to win that.

George Balderson finishes with 5-14, and Williams with 4-24.

    Worcs 390 v Notts 50-3

Hameed takes three fours off Matt Waite's over, starting with a leave, swiftly followed by a drive through cover after he saw the no ball signal.

Four more to third man as he takes one hand off the bat and deflects wide of the slips - and the third four comes from a back foot punch through the covers.

That's the Notts 50, coming in the 14th over.

  9. Glamorgan declare at Cardiffpublished at 13:55 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

    Glamorgan 550-5 dec v Derbyshire

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

Glamorgan captain David Lloyd hit his county’s second highest ever score as he moved on to 313 not out before declaring 40 minutes into the afternoon session.

His total was only behind the 410 not out posted by Sam Northeast at Leicester in July.

Lloyd and Andrew Salter added 151 for the sixth wicket against a toiling Derbyshire attack, who were without the injured Ben Aitchison.

Lloyd reached his 300 with a majestic six over mid-wicket off Alex Thomson, and then passed Steve James’ 309 not out, though Glamorgan did not go to all-out attack before the declaration.

They now have seven and a half sessions to force victory in the race to stay on Middlesex’s tail.

    One more needed for Lancashire.

    Phew.

Tom Lawes can't bowl that length to Tom Kohler-Cadmore who pulls a short one through mid-wicket for four. TKC is looking in the mood here, although it is early in his innings.

Hameed is getting in line against Dillon Pennington and playing the ball safely straight back to the bowler.

He takes a single off the second ball.

Out! Brilliant one-handed grab by Roderick, diving to his left as Clarke tries to turn that away to fine leg.

The Pears have three early wickets and a bowling bonus point.

  19. Postpublished at 13:43 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

    Hampshire 57 v Kent 165 & 181-6

Keith Barker has had a few optimistic LBW shouts against Jack Leaning turned down, but the big left-armer is certainly asking questions of the Kent captain.

Leaning gets himself into a terrible tangle here, but somehow gets it down to third man for four.

Much better from Leaning this time, as he belts a short ball from Barker through midwicket for another boundary.
