  1. wicket

WICKET Ball b Pennington 0published at 15:12 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

    Worcs 390 v Notts 105-9

A horrendous session for Notts continues.

Pennington's wicket-taking delivery keeps low and scuttles under the toe of the bat to send Ball on his way for a five ball duck.

The last batter is Dane Paterson.

  2. wicket

WICKET Taylor c Rhodes b Briggs 71published at 15:09 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

    Gloucs 201-7 v Warwks 274

Out on the stroke of tea!

Turn and bounce for Danny Briggs bowling round the wicket. Jack Taylor is forward to defend but doesn't quite get into line and he edges the ball waist high to first slip.

Warwickshire go to tea with an extra spring in their step.

  3. Gloucester pass 200 at Bristolpublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

    Gloucs 200-6 v Warwks 274

Danny Briggs bowls to Jack Taylor who drives through wide mid off to get the hosts to 200.

    Still 74 behind though.

  4. wicket

WICKET TKC c Foakes b Lawes 55published at 15:05 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

    Surrey 333 v Yorks 139-5

Tom Kohler-Cadmore in unable to restrain himself and edges a huge swish to keeper Ben Foakes who makes no mistake with the catch.

That is a very disappointing end to an entertaining innings by the Yorkshire batter, who put on 72 with Jonny Tattersall.

Three wickets for Lawes now and it's almost four as Dom Bess leaves his first delivery and it only just misses off stump.

  5. wicket

WICKET Leaning c Weatherley b Fuller 112published at 15:05 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

    Hampshire 57 v Kent 165 & 251-9

Jack Leaning takes Kent past 250, but falls soon after, looking to up the scoring rate.

He cuts a short ball from James Fuller up, but straight to the fielder on the point boundary.

A top knock comes to an end.

  6. wicket

WICKET Hutton b Barnard 0published at 15:05 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

    Worcs 390 v Notts 96-8

First ball! This innings could end before tea.

Brett Hutton tries to straight drive a full length ball and is foxed by an in-swinger.

Jake Ball is the Notts number 10.

I wonder if he was expecting to bat this early.

  7. wicket

WICKET Hameed c Roderick b Barnard 37published at 15:02 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

    Worcs 390 v Notts 96-7

    Somerset 389 v Northants 51-4

Northants skipper Will Young strokes Kasey Aldridge away for four to take their total past 50. The New Zealander is 26 not out, but they need a lot more from him if they are to ensure against a follow-on.

    Surrey 333 v Yorks 130-4

Does that count as a chance? Tom Kohler-Cadmore absolutely thrashes the ball straight back at bowler Jordan Clark, who takes evasive action rather than risk having his hands removed by the ball.

Four runs to TKC, who square cuts the next delivery through point and ends the over with a steepling boundary that takes him to 50 off 68 balls.

A four through mid-on by Jonny Tattersall in the previous over brought up their 50 partnership.

  10. Postpublished at 14:56 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

    Worcs 390 v Notts 94-6

Notts are a long way back but there's still hope for the visitors with Hammed at the crease - as the opener latches on to a short ball from Tongue and pulls it through mid wicket for four.

Patterson-White tries to clip Barnard away to leg and connects with the last ball of the over for one to keep the strike.

    Gloucs 195-6 v Warwks 274 - trail by 79

Much will depend on Taylor now as the batter takes a single off Yadav to go to 66.

The left-handed Zafar has a slip and a forward short leg. He sweeps Yadav outside off stump for four.

Two more with a deflection to fine leg.

  12. Agony for Jones againpublished at 14:52 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

    Durham 289-4 v Sussex 162

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

For the second week in a row, Durham opener Michael Jones got within touching distance of a century but failed to make it over the line.

At Leicester last week he was caught in the slips on 97 off Callum Parkinson. Today he was on 96 against Sussex when he was caught down the leg side off another spinner, James Coles.

Debutant keeper Charlie Tear should have stumped Jones on 68, in Coles' first over, but dropped the ball with the batsman out of his crease.

Coles has also claimed the wicket of David Bedingham on 30. He was caught at long on by Ali Orr having added a quickfire 54 for the fourth wicket with Nic Maddinson, who is still out there and has 42.

  13. Postpublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

    Worcs 390 v Notts 89-6

Moores is gone in just three balls and Notts are on the ropes.

The keeper-batsman tries to leave a bumper and bottom edges the ball on to his stumps.

Liam Patterson-White joins Hameed with 11 overs left before tea.

Jack Leaning belts Felix Organ over cow corner for an enormous six to bring up three figures - a superb knock from the Kent captain!

WICKET Evison c Donald b Fullerpublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

    Hampshire 57 v Kent 165 & 230-8

Joey Evison fends one through to the keeper.

There's still life in this pitch.

  17. wicket

WICKET Keogh c Rew b Overton 8published at 14:46 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

    Somerset 389 v Northants 37-4

    It's becoming a Chelmsford-like procession at Taunton.

Rob Keogh tries to lift his bat away from a ball by Craig Overton, but leaves it too late and keeper James Rew takes a sprawling catch.

This is starting to look like the game in which Somerset remove any threat of relegation.

    Worcs 390 v Notts 89-5

Scriven and Harry Swindells continue to frustrate Middlesex.

  20. wicket

WICKET Van Buuren b Yadav 32published at 14:42 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

    Gloucs 185-6 v Warwks 274 - trail by 88

Gone! Van Buuren gets into an awful mess trying to force Yadav away through point.

An entertaining and vital Gloucester partnership is broken and the prospect of an innings lead for Warwickshire is still on.

    Zafar Gohar to bat next.
