We asked earlier for your thoughts of Sir Andrew Strauss' proposals for the revamp of the English domestic season. Here are a few of your responses.

Callum: "I don't mind change and reform but this isn't it, what's the point for teams in Division 2 to compete, also fans losing even more days of county championship cricket, what does that mean for membership prices surely they should be cheaper #bbccricket, external"

Marcus: "#bbccricket, external The Hundred was a kick in the stomach to Kent fans, not least because our players leave to play for teams with no relevance, but it prevents Kent making money whilst the big grounds coin it in. Test players rarely play County, so less games will only cost us revenue"

Tom: "Surely the best way to reduce the congestion in the cricket season would be to return the County Championship to a 3 day format. This would unlock 12 days for each County and provide the players with more rest days between games. #BBCCricket, external"

    WICKET Roland-Jones c Wright b Ahmed 3published at 16:23 British Summer Time 22 September 2022

    Leicestershire 294 v Middlesex 297 & 271 all out

Toby Roland-Jones tries a huge hoick but gets it all wrong and it ends up in the hands of Chris Wright at mid-off.

A third wicket for Rehan Ahmed, his best first-class effort.

Middlesex have collapsed somewhat from 209-3, losing their last seven wickets for 62 runs.

Leicestershire will need 275 in the fourth innings for their first Championship win of the season.

Derbyshire's Wayne Madsen drills an inswinger from Timm van der Gugten through mid-on to get off the mark and then square cuts the next to the point boundary.

    Gloucs 255 & 149-7 v Warwks 274 & 128

    Three to win.

Zafar plays and misses. He drives the second ball through mid off.

Four! That's a first Division One win for Gloucestershire since 2005!

What a game. Dom Sibley carried his bat for Warwickshire.

    Zafar took 5-64.

Jack Taylor and Zafar Gohar rescued the hosts after a slump to 95-5 in reply. A career best 8-27 from Tom Price in the second innings and Gloucester scraped over the line with a 50 from Chris Dent, 49 from Graeme van Buuren and a nerveless 10 not out from Zafar.

Again, Danny Briggs tosses the ball right up to Tom Price, who has barely played a shot in anger since he came to the crease.

    Until now!

Mid off is up and the number nine drives over that region. It's a bit of a slog really, but he gets just enough on the ball for it to roll to the boundary for four.

  6. Postpublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 22 September 2022

    Somerset 389 & 149-1 v Northants 265

Tom Abell flashes at a wide one from Jack White to end the latest over at Taunton and makes good enough contact to pick up four runs to follow a square cut to the boundary from the previous delivery.

He is 32 not out, Tom Lammonby has 60 and they lead by 273.

Zafar has his hands full with Yadav, who has taken three quick wickets since tea. Long on and long off are right back.

The second ball is worked to leg for one.

Tom Price whips a shorter ball to wide mid on for one.

Second slips moves to short mid wicket.

Zafar reverse sweeps a leg-side ball and misses. A half LBW shout is turned down.

    Leicestershire 294 v Middlesex 297 & 265-8

This is an absolute jaffa from Callum Parkinson!

The perfect delivery from an left-armer coming round the wicket as it pitches and turns to take out Ethan Bamber's off-stump.

Spinners don't produce too many balls better than that one.

Danny Briggs bowls to Zafar. Will he risk a sweep?

He's well forward to defend at present.

The fourth ball keeps low and Zafar pushes the ball carefully with a straight bat to long on for one.

Tom Price defends a shorter ball on the back foot.

What a corker by Timm van der Gugten, which cuts back between bat and pad and just flicks the top of Brooke Guest's stumps.

Eight more wickets needed for Glamorgan's sixth win of the season.

Wayne Madsen comes out to bat on a pair.

Yorkshire remain in relegation trouble after their ten-wicket defeat to new County Champions Surrey. Now they have just one match left against Gloucestershire next week to ensure they do not finish in the bottom two.

"Congratulations to Surrey," Yorkshire Head Coach Ottis Gibson told BBC Radio Leeds. "Over the three days they were miles ahead of where we are as a team.

"They have played Championship-winning cricket all year. We haven't reached that level yet.

"To bowl them out for 333 on a pretty decent pitch with seven international players in their team, compared to our two, was good. But I expected us to bat better in both innings, so it has been a disappointing three days."

Tom Price is taking guard. Did he expect to bat today?

    Seemed unlikely at tea.

Yadav pushes the ball out wide and tries to draw the Gloucester number nine into a drive. He doesn't drive.

The hosts have lost three wickets for 11 runs.

If Warwickshire do somehow win this and Somerset draw they'll be up to the middle of the table.

Yadav bowls... Zafar hits the ball in the air and it lands safely.

Dent is gone! He is cramped for room as he tries to cut and edges the ball behind. Yadav has 4-41.

    OK. Take a breath...

A slip and a short leg come in for Danny Briggs.

Dent works the first ball of the over to leg for one.

Briggs tosses the ball up and Zafar defends.

Should it be four? Should it be six? No, Rehan Ahmed's long hop ends up in the hands of Chris Wright at mid-on.

Luke Hollman is disgusted with himself as he walks off, having just looped up a catch off the shoulder of his bat.

He really has thrown his wicket away there.

Not a great ball from Yadav, drifting down leg - so you could say the shot was on... but was it really needed? Loads of time left.

Zafar Gohar is off the mark straight away with two and blocks out the rest of the over. 13 to win.

Simpson looks surprised at how that got past his defences, but it was a beauty.
