    WICKET - Robinson c Lavelle b Hurt 43published at 12:06 British Summer Time 17 September 2022

    Kent 79-2 v Lancs

Great ball from Liam Hurt cuts Ollie Robinson in half, and Lancs wicketkeeper George Lavelle dives to his left to take an outstanding one-handed catch.

But what exactly did it hit? The TV replay is inconclusive - and Robinson walks back to the pavilion looking very unhappy.

New man in is Kent captain Joe Denly.

  17. Over 16published at 12:04 British Summer Time 17 September 2022

    Kent 79-1 v Lancs

Lancashire opt for a bit of spin in only the 16th over as Luke Wells comes on.

Joey Evison drives him for a lofted staight four which Wells was close to getting a hand to, then sweeps the leg spinner to square leg off the last ball for a second boundary in the over.

    Kent 70-1 v Lancs

    Kent 64-1 v Lancs

Ollie Robinson takes the aerial route again, chipping Danny Lamb for another boundary on the off side and the Spitfires pick up six from the over. They'll be reasonably happy with this start, especially after losing Ben Compton to only the fourth ball of the innings.

  20. Over 13published at 11:53 British Summer Time 17 September 2022

    Kent 58-1 v Lancs

Now we get our first sighting of Liam Hurt, who along with Danny Lamb is Lancashire's leading wicket-taker in this year's Royal London Cup. Hurt's action is the opposite of 'flailing', with his left arm tucked close to his body and maybe it's a little baffling for Joey Evison, who doesn't quite connect cleanly as he launches the bowler over the top, but gets enough on it to register a four.
