Lewis Gregory pushes at Nathan Ellis' first ball and keeper Ben McDermott is unable to hang onto a one-handed chance. It runs away for four runs.

I think Hampshire have one foot in the final now.

    Somerset 104-4 (Target 191)

Lewis Gregory doesn't have time to take a look and crashes his second ball faced over long-on for six.

He is content to push the next for a single and keep the strike.

Somerset have already hit two more sixes than Hampshire did in their innings, but they are the team under pressure

Absolutely massive wicket for Hampshire. Abell was just accelerating his innings for Somerset. They just need boundaries and you can see Abell was just trying to make something happen there.

A different field placing has worked for Hampshire there.

  6. wicket

WICKET Abell c Weatherley b Dawson 27published at 12.3 overs

    Hampshire 97-4 (Target 191)

Tom Abell eyes the short leg-side boundary, but doesn't get enough elevation on a slog sweep and Joe Weatherley takes his second catch. Lewis Gregory is the next man in.

  7. Postpublished at 12 overs

    Somerset 96-3 (Target 191)

James Fuller's over ends as Tom Abell square cuts for four.

Somerset need 95 off eight overs to win.

    Time for some 'Bazball' thinking.

It has to happen now! Somerset can't wait any longer they have to hit the pedal.

Who is going to supply the sixes that Somerset need?

Tom Lammonby comes up with one as he slams James Fuller over long-on.

Fuller tests Tom Abell out with a short one and it flies away off his helmet for four 'leg' byes.

A concussion check is required but we think he's going to be OK. It was only a glancing blow.

Tom Abell is one of the better players of spin in the country. He'll be key in this run chase.

  11. Postpublished at 11 overs

    Somerset 78-3 (Target 191)

Leg-spinner Mason Crane into the attack and a slog sweep brings Tom Abell a boundary.

Abell fails to make clean contact with a full toss and can only pick up a single before Tom Lammonby takes two to wide long-on.

A single ends the over, 10 from it - but that's not enough for Somerset.

Somerset are well behind where Hampshire were at this point. Crane is bowling well but I'd like to see him given more time to settle into his spell.

  13. 6 runs

    Postpublished at 10 overs

    Somerset 68-3 (Target 191)

First up, a ramp by Tom Abell and gets enough on it for a maximum.

The Somerset right-hander drives at the next and an edge flies away for four.

James Fuller tightens things up but 13 come from it.

Somerset need 123 to win from their final 10 overs.

    Mark Davis

Somerset have got problems now. There aren't many big guns left. I felt the contributions had to come from the top four batters and three have gone. We need two guys who are going to get 40s and 50s.

This is where Hampshire really come into their own with the spinners in the middle.

  16. Postpublished at 9 overs

    Somerset 55-3 (Target 191)

Tom Lammonby is already using his feet to try and create some scoring angles. Only four runs, though, from that Liam Dawson over and Somerset are falling further behind the rate.

  17. Postpublished at 8 overs

    Somerset 51-3 (Target 191)

Fabulous over by James Fuller - just one run from it and he takes the all-important wicket of Rilee Rossouw.

There's a big job for the two Toms - Abell and Lammonby - to do now.

  18. Postpublished at 16:46 British Summer Time 16 July 2022

    Somerset 50-3 (Target 191)

    Anthony Gibson

That is the end of Rilee Rossouw! A very big blow to Somerset hopes. After one huge hit onto the roof of the Hollies stand, he tried to repeat the trick.

  19. wicket

WICKET Rossouw c Weatherley b Fuller 23published at 7.3 overs

    Somerset 50-3 (Target 191)

The required rate at the start of the over was getting on for 11.

Rilee Rossouw tries to deposit James Fuller into the stand but gets too far underneath it and Joe Weatherley takes it safely.

Is that a decisive moment in this game?

  20. Postpublished at 7 overs

    Somerset 50-2 (Target)

    Spin. Liam Dawson.

Quiet start as Tom Abell and Rilee Rossouw exchange singles from the first three deliveries.

There's an lbw shout against Rossouw from the fourth but that was surely pitching outside leg.

A reverse paddle for one hands the strike back to Abell, who hits the last straight to point. Only four from that one.
