Lorcan Tucker is tucking in at the Gabba.

This is tremendous. He is putting on a fine show tonight to continue building his profile and confidence.

He's on fire and he's playing some serious shots.

This is a time where I worry for Australia. The only time I do is at the death.

  4. Ire 133-8published at 16.5 overs

This is just outstanding from Lorcan Tucker. He has almost nonchalantly lofted Mitchel Starc away over long-off for a one-bounce four.

For the first time this innings the Australia players are starting to look a little concerned.

Lorcan Tucker, he's still got something to prove tonight. I'm surprised you guys haven't started to cheer him yet - every run he gets helps England and New Zealand.

  7. Ire 126-8published at 16.2 overs

Four more! Lorcan Tucker has just ramped Mitchell Starc back over Matthew Wade's head.

The next ball he heaves over long-off for a one-bounce four!

    Ireland couldn't, could they?

  8. Ire 118-8published at 16 overs

    Love the optimism, Ravi.

Lorcan Tucker followed up that six with a four smashed through backward point.

He is 55 from 42 balls. It will take something spectacular from here. But as long as Tucker is there, you never know.

That was a pure cricket shot. He just had a little bit of room to free the hands.

What a way to bring up his fifty. Well played, Lorcan Tucker.

  11. 50 runs

50 for Lorcan Tuckerpublished at 15.3 overs

He has hung around long enough! What a way to get to your 50 for Lorcan Tucker. He has hammered a slower ball from Josh Hazlewood straight back over his head for a huge six.

  12. Ire 106-8published at 15 overs

Barry McCarthy is the new batter to join Lorcan Tucker, who plays a rather ugly heave into the on side for a single to move onto 44.

He will hope McCarthy can stick around long enough for him to get his half-century.

Australia have really made back that run-rate that they lost against New Zealand. They will be sitting quite pretty going into their final game against Afghanistan, who they will expect to turn over. They could get another big win in that game too.

Ireland don't really know whether to stick or twist at the moment.

But as far as Australia are concerned this is exactly the performance they wanted.

    Hand b Zampa 6 (Ire 103-8)

    Bowled around his legs.

Fionn Hand has stepped right across his stumps to try and sweep the ball into that square-leg region but the ball squirms through and smacks into the stumps.

That's a lovely shot from Fionn Hand. The field is spread but hand has managed to perfectly guide the ball through a gap at point for four to bring up the Ireland 100.

  20. Ire 95-7published at 13 overs

Fionn Hand is the new batter and immediately gets off the mark driving a full toss down to long-off.

It is boundaries Ireland need at the moment though. And lots of them.
