I saw that coming an absolute mile off after the first ball. Curtis Campher should have been expecting it.

This is horrible from an Irish perspective. It is not good from an English or New Zealand perspective too.
Australia are roaring back and they can doing exactly what they needed to do. They aren't only winning the game, they are doing it an absolute canter.
Campher b Starc 0 (Ire 25-4)
Start the car.
This is a wonderful delivery by Mitchell Starc. Full, quick with a hint of inswing. Curtis Campher misses it and the stumps are sent flying.
There's no let up for Ireland. Mitchell Starc is now into the attack.

This is all going horribly wrong for Ireland.
It is going very, very nicely for Australia, who need a comprehensive win to sort out their net run-rate.
Tector c Smith b Maxwell 6 (Ire 24-3)
Oh dear. This is a very soft dismissal.
New batter Harry Tector has pulled a short ball straight to Steve Smith at square leg. He barely had to move.
Ireland are in deep trouble now.

It is a big celebration from Australia because they know Paul Stirling is the kind of player who can get 80 off 40 balls and take the game away from you. It is a big wicket.

This is the worse possible start for Ireland, they needed to get away.
It was a good catch by Pat Cummins.
The target of 180 seems a long way away.
Stirling c Cummins b Maxwell 11 (Ire 18-2)
A HUGE wicket for Australia!
Paul Stirling has just not got hold of this. He rocks onto his back foot and looks to cut the ball through the covers, but there's no power on the shot and Pat Cummins is able to take a decent catch.
Glenn Maxwell will bowl the third over in the powerplay.

That is always a dangerous play because you're only really playing with 30% of the bat. It's almost a shot you play accidentally. You can get yourself into big trouble otherwise, like he did there.

Andrew Balbirnie was definitely aware of the big gap at fine leg.
Balbirnie b Cummins 6 (Ire 18-1)
Pat Cummins hits back!
Andrew Balbirnie has stepped right across his stumps to try and guide the ball into the fine leg region but missed the bal and it clatters into his stumps.
A big blow for Ireland after that promising start.

You need a taxi for that one. Even with the fielder out it would have gone over his head, it went miles.

That is HUGE!
We said they would come out and not respect these bowlers, who have wonderful reputations, but they've both been hit for six.
Hello! Paul Stirling is here to play.
He has just launched Pat Cummins over deep square leg and into the stand! It nearly went into the second tier.

Tim David has a little bit of hamstring tightness so Steve Smith is on the field. I can see him fidgeting.
Pat Cummins will open at the other end for Australia.

He just swot it like a fly. It is a good shot because he backed away but got followed.

My word, what a shot that is! He picked that up from almost nowhere.
