  1. dropped catch

    Aus 160-4published at 18.2 overs

Does that carry? Maybe not this time.

Tim David looks to carve over the covers, and Harry Tector is interested on the cover boundary. He comes running in, dives forward, but the ball potentially just bounces in front of him as he looks to get his fingers underneath the ball.

  2. Aus 159-4published at 18 overs

Josh Little is back for Ireland and he starts with an off-side wide.

He's worried about that leg-side boundary again. It's the shorter one.

You know the Stormtroopers who go to the Gabba Test each Australian summer? Well, this is the same group of cricket enthusiasts but in their T20 outfit. They've come as some kind of national guard army. They've got their eyes on Paul Stirling...

  4. Aus 158-4published at 18 overs

Brilliant over from left-arm spinner George Dockrell.

He concedes just three from his final over and finishes with figures of 0-24 from his four overs.

With the chaos going on around him in recent overs he's bowled well.

  5. dropped catch

Stoinis dropped on 34published at 17.2 overs

I feel harsh saying this, but technically it is.

Marcus Stonis backs away to the leg side and George Dockrell follows him really well.

It leads to a thick outside edge from Stoinis and it just hits Lorcan Tucker on the right arm.

Tim David, who spent the summer with Lancashire and Southern Brave, is the new batter.

He pulls his first ball down the ground for a single.

Great innings from Aaron Finch. He was slow to start but has set the foundations. It means new batter Tim David can play his natural game. David and Marcis Stoinis are two of the biggest hitters in the Australia line-up.

The run map shows Aaron Finch scored 63 with 3 sixes, 5 fours, 6 twos, and 13 singles for Australia

    Ireland needed this.

I was just about to say that Aaron Finch is starting to look tired and it feels like it's hit or out with him and so it is.

He creams a straight drive for four and then looks to go overhead. He goes more in the air this time, but picks out Mark Adair on the long-on boundary.

Can Ireland build some dots now?

  11. 6 runs

    Aus 145-3published at 16 overs

George Dockrell can't get out of the over unscathed.

He'd gone for just five from the first five balls, but Aaron Finch plants the final ball back over his head for another six.

He's hit 125 in international T20s now. He's gone above Chris Gayle.

  12. dropped catch

    Aus 136-3published at 15.1 overs

Did that carry? I think it may have.

Marcus Stoinis looks to go in to out and hit over the off-side, but doesn't connect that well.

The deep cover fielder comes haring in, and I think just gets there, but can't hold on.

Here's how Mitchell Marsh and Glenn Maxwell were dismissed.

    Ireland need another wicket sharp-ish.

This is a solid platform for the Aussies heading into the last five overs. You are looking for 180,190 plus here with the batters they have in the shed.

  15. 6 runs

50 for Aaron Finchpublished at 15 overs

    Aus 135-3

    Oh, Mark Adair.

He gets Marcus Stoinis off strike, but then bowls three successive wides at Aaron Finch.

The Aussie skipper then pulls for four, before another wide. He obviously punishes the extra ball, by planting over square leg for six and his half-century.

The over goes for 26 and Australia have added 42 from the last 12 balls. 200 is on all of a sudden.

That was a horrible ball to bowl to this field. Asking for trouble.

  17. Aus 119-3published at 14.3 overs

Marcus Stoinis is just going through the gears at the moment.

Before that piece of brilliant fielding he'd drilled down the ground for four. It absolutely flew there as well.

With the full ball going Mark Adair drops short, but his field isn't there for the short ball at all, and Stoinis just pulls round the corner for four more.

I'm not going to call this a dropped catch because it is EXCEPTIONAL fielding.

Marcus Stoinis goes big down the ground, but Barry McCarthy is there, trying to take the catch.

He holds it, but his momentum is taking him over the boundary rope. He shows brilliant awareness though, to release, off balance, with his weaker left hand and save four runs.

He needs some medical treatment but he's fine to continue.
