Time for us to call it a day.

I'll leave you with Matt Henry's report from Sydney as Pakistan keep their semi-final hopes alive with victory over South Africa.

Some of the best clips are also at the bottom of this post for you to watch again.

The result means we have an exciting four-team tussle between India, South Africa, Pakistan and Bangladesh to decide who progresses from Group 2 on Sunday.

Attention turns back to Group 1 tomorrow as New Zealand look to book a semi-final spot and Australia look to keep their tournament going.

We start with Ireland v New Zealand at 04:00 GMT, before defending champions Australia face Afghanistan from 08:00.

    See you then.

It feels unlikely that Pakistan are going to sneak into the top two because you'd expect South Africa and India to beat the Netherlands and Zimbabwe respectively.

However, if they do, they'll be delighted to see Shaheen Shah Afridi is starting to return to his best.

He put South Africa under early pressure by removing Quinton de Kock and Rilee Roussouw.

Shadab Khan was outstanding for Pakistan.

He blasted 52 off 22 balls, including four sixes and three sixes, as he scored the second-fastest half-century by a Pakistan batter.

He then took two crucial wickets with the ball and that pushed South Africa well behind the Duckworth Lewis Stern score when the rain arrived and left them an impossible mountain to climb when we resumed.

  4. 'Shadab was outstanding'published at 12:31 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2022

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam: "I am very happy the way the team performed and we were up to the mark. The way Haris played shifted the momentum and carried it on. Shadab was outstanding and the way he finished the innings was also outstanding.

"I think everyone is my best player. Everyone is always ready to play and when we decide the starting XI everyone is ready.

"The first two matches we lost and they cost us but I think the way the team has played in the games they always give us 100%.

"Cricket is funny game and you never know what can happen. Let's hope for the best."

As Temba Bavuma says, South Africa arguably lost that game when they let Pakistan recover from 43-4 to post 185-9.

  6. 'We didn't adapt well enough'published at 12:26 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2022

South Africa captain Temba Bavuma: "It is disappointing. The way we finished with our bowling and fielding, we had them five wickets down early but then allowed them to get that formidable score.

"There are questions we to ask ourselves and come up with some answers going forward, but credit to them, they played well after the first 10 overs. They had the momentum then with the ball, and they carried it through.

"We knew that the weather would be a bit of an issue, I'm not a bowler but I know they do practice when they can like with a wet ball, but it's not an excuse.

"We didn't adapt well enough and we could have been smarter with the bigger boundary. There are no excuses, we have to learn from these things.

"In our next game we've got the Netherlands in Adelaide, it's a big game for us. We want to put this game behind us as quickly as possible and make sure we are back at our best mentally for that game."

When Pakistan play like that they can beat anybody.

They're just so unpredictable but their T20 cricket has gone through the roof and they have found some great players in the PSL.

This is how Group 2 looks after today.

Any of India, South Africa, Pakistan and Bangladesh can make the final four yet. Only two of them will.

Sunday sees South Africa face Netherlands (00:00 GMT), Pakistan play Bangladesh (04:00) and India go up against Zimbabwe (08:00).

Player of the match, Pakistan's Shadab Khan: "I have batted like that in the PSL [Pakistan Super League] before but this was a much more pressure game, it was a big game, so it felt good.

"The pitch was nice to bat on, it was quite slow compared to Perth where we played before but the ball came on nicely for me so I wanted to utilise that.

"My first ball [when I bowled], I just wanted to keep it simple and hit the stumps. There was a bit of grip out there for spinners and it paid off for me,

"I would like to bat further up the order if it is possible but it depends on the situation of each game, so I will just do whatever the team needs."

Pakistan were brilliant with the ball when play resumed.

Mohammad Wasim, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf all bowled superbly.

    Right then.

South Africa's hopes are still in their own hands. If they beat Netherlands then they will reach the semi-finals regardless of other results.

A tie or washed out game will result in a net run-rate battle if one of Pakistan or Bangladesh win their game.

Pakistan must win their game and hope that India or South Africa lose to stand any chance of going through. If South Africa win but India lose, it'll be decided on net run-rate.

If the South Africa game is washed out or finishes in a tie one of Pakistan or Bangladesh will progress with a win because it goes off most wins before net run-rate.

    Got it? Good.

    Another one!

Anrich Nortje looks to slog Haris Rauf away but ends up hitting the slower ball more in the air.

Mohammad Haris settles himself at deep mid-wicket and takes a good catch.

    Pakistan have fielded well tonight.

    Miles out!

A good throw in from the deep by Mohammad Nawaz is collected by Haris Rauf and he twists his body and knocks off the bails.

The winning margin could end up being important here so keep an eye on that.

Has Kagiso Rabada been run out looking for a second run?

He reckons so. He's put the bat under his arm and started trudging off.
