  1. Originals 44-2published at 55 balls left

    Target 161

Mason Crane, who's already taken a brilliant catch, is on to bowl for the first time and starts very well, just five runs coming from his first five balls.

117 needed from 55 balls for the Originals. Not easy, that.

  2. Originals 39-2published at 60 balls left

    Target 161

Jordan Thompson has two wickets and has only conceded 10 runs from his 10 balls so far.

He's enjoying himself out there. Big smiles all round for the team in blue as a young lad sporting the kit pulls out some impressive moves in the stands.

Don't think we'll see the players cutting some shapes any time soon but they're certainly the happier of the two teams.

A back-of-the-hand slower ball deceives Madsen. It's the line that's done him. He's gone across his crease and was looking to slog into the leg side.

    Madsen b Thompson 9 (Originals 38-1)

No doubt about that one! Jordan Thompson bowls a very cunning slower ball out of the back of his hand, just twisting his hand in on itself as he releases the ball and Wayne Madsen is completely and utterly deceived by it.

    Spirit are in firm control.

That was tantalising. You thought he was going to gobble it up at one stage.

  6. Originals 38-1published at 62 balls left

Oooh, nearly! What an effort from Glenn Maxwell, who dives for a ball that could've easily bobbled up and taken his teeth out but it just bounces underneath him and runs away for four.

It's getting ever so trickier for Originals. Although they do have firepower, they need to have enough time to utilise it.

Ellis' slower ball is so hard to pick up. His arm pace is the same speed as his quicker ball.

  9. Originals 32-1published at 65 balls left

    Target 161

Nathan Ellis is a fun bowler to watch. He's fiery, always looks up for the challenge and runs in with proper aggression and his arms twirl about like a windmill as he releases the ball.

Effective, though. He's bowled 10 balls and gone for just 10 runs, which is very decent indeed.

Think back to the first innings and remember Crawley was going at one run per ball. It potentially does get better to bat as you get into the game. There's no need to panic just yet. Originals have a lot of depth.

  11. Originals 27-1published at 70 balls left

    Target 161

London Spirit have been very impressive. They don't look like the team who finished bottom of the table last year, by any means.

Lot of work for the Originals to do from here.

  13. Originals 22-1published at 75 balls left

    Target 161

There it is! Not the most convincing shot from Phil Salt but it's four, clubbed down the ground and there was a real air of frustration about that!

Salt is just being outdone by pace. Seam bowling of the highest class.

  15. Originals 18-1published at 77 balls left

    Target 161

Chris Wood takes back the ball.

Chris Wood continues to be quality.

Something's got to give from one of these Originals batters. They can't get anything away at all.

I like that Eoin Morgan is changing his bowlers around in the powerplay, especially with that shorter boundary.

  17. Originals 18-1published at 80 balls left

    Target 161

Australian Nathan Ellis is on to bowl as Eoin Morgan continues to chop and change his bowlers.

His first ball goes for four but he recovers well from the next four to continue Spirit's fine start.

  18. Originals 13-1published at 85 balls left

    Target 161

Wayne Madsen is the new batter.

Watching the replays of that catch and Crane's eyes are glued to the ball, so impressive. It's like his life is depending on it.

His team-mates all sprint towards him for a big round of hugs, which is sweet.

That is a huge wicket for Spirit.

That catch has really brought the crowd to life.

That is an outstanding catch. There is a lot of smiles of the faces of the Spirit fielders.

Every fielder would have wanted the keeper to take that!

Those running back catches are impossible at times. It is the hardest catch to take and he's done very well, never mind the fact it is Jos Buttler early on in the innings.
