As if to ensure that Brookes doesn't get too ahead of himself after a phenomenal spell, Whiteley rocks back and launches the ball over the leg side for six. He really middled that!
That denies Brookes the best figures in The Hundred but what an performance from him.

It's five for Henry Brookes! What a spell and what a night for the Birmingham Phoenix!
Garton has thrashed his first ball away for four but he is pinned plumb in front by the second, a brilliantly executed yorker from Brookes that hits the big toe right in front of middle and off.
That's the third five-for we've seen in the men's Hundred.

No bat involved and the ball was going on to thud into leg stump. Four wickets for Brookes and no surprise that he will continue for another five deliveries.
