Sophia Dunkley was saying that these whites are quite tapered at the ankle and she and Tammy have been struggling to get the pads on under the trousers.
They've popped a few zips and been rustling around in the spares to try and find some they can fit under.
The last thing you need is split trousers on TV in front of everyone!
Beauty from Cross. Just back of a length and she manages to extract a bit of extra bounce as well as a little movement away off the seam. Wolvaardt has done well not to nick that one.
The South Africa opener did get two earlier in the over with a firm push through mid-off.

Unfortunately I was one of the people bowling at Laura during that amazing hundred in the warm up game. It's always a mark of a good player when even in defence it's making that proper noise off the bat. She's such a class player at such a young age and she'll be around a long time for South Africa and teams around the world.
Bell does find a bit of swing away from the left-handed Goodall but is still trying to bowl relatively straight from over the wicket.
Slightly wider to end the over, another maiden, but Goodall leaves well alone.

So far the ball isn't doing a lot through the air but Lauren Bell is back in the attack and if anyone is going to get movement it will be her.
Good start from Kate Cross after the rain delay, a maiden. The England seamer is targeting Wolvaardt's stumps and nearly gets past the opener's forward defence midway through the over.

Taunton is one of the best places for food. Lord's is great for a three course meal. It really is incredible. I'm always gutted if we play there and bowl second because opening the bowling means you can't take advantage of it.
Leicester is also pretty good but we love the bananas and honey and yoghurt here at Taunton. It's their signature dish. Georgia and I have both had members of the England staff fetch us some and we've got bowls of it stashed in the comms box.

Lovely shot from Lara Goodall, punching the ball back through mid-off for four. It was too full from Wong and the left-hander was quick to capitalise.
First ball back from Issy Wong and a half-chance already. Laura Wolvaardt tries to tuck the ball off her hip and it is only just wide of Tammy Beaumont at short leg!
The umpires are heading out to the middle, England are in a huddle and we're almost ready to go!
Tea is set to be taken at 16:40 BST and play can be extended until 19:30 BST tonight.

The final cover is being wheeled away. The stumps are being put back in.

I imagine this England side will be full of energy - they got the wicket and then they've had a little bit of a break and they've got nice conditions now.

Laura Wolvaardt stands between England and victory.
Good news at last! Play will restart in 10 minutes with South Africa 9-1, trailing England by 124 runs at Taunton.

The inspection is taking place out there, Sune Luus is out there in her pads so she's expecting to play. The England team in their entirety of going through their warm ups.
We're almost ready to go, I think. Surely?
All eyes on the umpires with the final - don't hold your breath, folks - pitch inspection due to take place any minute now.

They're putting some sawdust down on a few wet patches but what is going to happen in 25 minutes that makes the ground more playable than it is now?
Right. A final pitch inspection (you can't be too careful...) will take place at 14:50 BST and providing there is no more rain, play will resume 15 minutes after that.
Typically, as I type that, there are murmurs of a bit of rain in the air. Nothing serious as yet, though.
We'll bring you word from the latest pitch inspection as we get it. But, I'm afraid the forecast for the next few hours isn't brilliant.
