I hate to say it. But it's raining.
Kapp 39, Sekhukhune 33
Slapped through the covers for four! A wide half-volley from Cross and Kapp is quick to punish it, sending the ball racing to the fence.
Four more! That's an even better shot, punched back through mid-on. Kapp is looking in great nick out there.

If you could have a superpower on the pitch, what would you have?
Edged... and safe! Sekhukhune pushes at a full delivery from Wong but the thick outside edge sends the ball just wide of the slips and the South African gets back for two. With time running out, England need those to be going to hand.
The ominous clouds are starting to gather over Taunton again.

Tanzil Khawaja: This is absolutely top stuff from SA here. I know the rain has helped them with taking time out of the game slightly but could be a cracking finish. How good has Sekhukhune been!

There's very little incentive for South Africa to play their shots at the moment. England have got to take their chances when they come.

Cross is really trying to keep the stumps in play but that is leading to the odd ball finding its way onto the pads of the South African batters.
Both Kapp and Sekhukhune are happy to take advantage and between get four from the over.
Issy Wong will bowl the next over as England push for a breakthrough.

England have got to be patient. It is difficult when they don't know how much more time they're going to have with the weather.
Bell's over ends with a boundary as she strays legside and Sekhukhune glances the ball fine.
No real alarms so far for South Africa, that play and a miss in Cross's last over as close as England have come to a breakthrough since the restart.
Oh and I'm choosing to ignore Henry's latest tweet...

It's not really swinging for Kate Cross. Whereas Lauren Bell looks like she could swing a ball of socks.

Close! Cross causes Sekhukhune a rare problem with a delivery angled across the left-hander that the batter pushes at and is beaten on the outside edge. That was not far from the edge at all.
Off line next ball and Sekhukhune tickles it fine for two after Bell comes round to make the stop on the boundary.

There were times in the first innings when the batters were turning down singles to keep the strike from Sekhukhune.
The roles have almost reversed now!

Tumi Sekhukhune has been absolutely magnificent today. Especially when you consider she averaged three in ODIs.
Sekhukhune is called into action in this over after a single early on from Kapp. The nightwatcher does what she has done throughout her innings, defending solidly and taking the runs where she can. In this instance, that is a single clipped off the pads last ball.

Looking at that cloud to our left makes it possible that all this talk about remaining overs becomes completely redundant...
Some news on the playing conditions for you.
The last hour will start when there are 17 overs remaining or at 18:00 BST, whichever is later.
Cross finishes the over with a short ball to Kapp. It is pulled firmly in front of square for a single and she will keep strike.
Tumi Sekhukhune has pretty much been a spectator in the couple of overs since play resumed.
