  1. 50 runs

50 for Smriti Mandhanapublished at 22.5 overs

Smriti Mandhana goes to her 25th ODI half-century. It's been a patient and vital knock for her side after they lost those four wickets early.

A single pulled out to deep square takes her to 50 from 76 balls.

As you have probably heard, it's Jhulan Goswami's final ODI after a glittering career. We haven't quite worked out why she was standing on a bench at square leg though...

  3. Ind 84-4published at 22 overs

Cross continues where she left off. Another fine over, only a single from it and nearly another mix-up to end the over as Sharma tried to pinch another.

Sensibly she listened to Mandhana and turned back in plenty of time to avoid the run out.

This feels like a big move from Amy Jones to bring back England's strike bowler.

Ooh interesting. Kate Cross is coming back into the attack. Amy Jones has had just enough of this partnership, it seems.

  6. Ind 83-4published at 21 overs

Very good over from Emma Lamb, just one from it. Although she would have to admit she is fortunate that the ball that cost that a single - a rank long hop - did not prove more costly.

  7. 50 runs

    Ind 82-4published at 20 overs

    Mandhana 46, Sharma 21

Sharma sweeps smartly as Dean strays leg side with her first ball. Just a single but that brings up the fifty partnership between Mandhana and Sharma.

It's been a crucial one for India and has helped them put that dreadful start behind them for the time being.

India are not giving off the impression of a team that is four wickets down.

  9. Ind 78-4published at 19 overs

I'm still not quite sure how there wasn't a run out at the start of the over. Mandhana essentially ran two but got no runs.

Solid start from Lamb, though. Four from the over.

  10. Ind 74-4published at 18.1 overs

Mix up! Big, big mix-up but somehow Smriti Mandhana survives.

Emma Lamb's first ball is pushed into the covers by the left-hander, she sets off for one, Deepti Sharma doesn't move but Mandhana keeps coming.

If Charlie Dean had picked up the ball cleanly, Mandhana was gone but she inadvertently kicks the ball away from herself after making the initial stop.

Even then a direct hit would have done for the India batter, who was almost face to face with Sharma a few moments earlier!

  12. Ind 74-4published at 18 overs

A couple of decent overs for India back-to-back with Mandhana and Sharma beginning to look more comfortable at the crease.

  13. Ind 72-4published at 17.4 overs

Lovely shot. Deepti Sharma goes back and plays a late cut to perfection, just running the ball down the slope for four.

She's starting to get into her stride now as this partnership grows.

A nice partnership is starting to build here for India. They have rebuilt well after the loss of those early wickets.

  15. Ind 66-4published at 17 overs

    Mandhana 40, Sharma 11

Slog sweep from Deepti Sharma, just clearing the fielder at mid-wicket and the ball goes away quickly for four.

A much-needed boundary for India from the penultimate ball of Ecclestone's over.

  16. Ind 58-4published at 16 overs

    Tidy again from Charlie Dean.

She tempts Deepti Sharma with a floated off break just outside off but the experienced left-hander isn't taking the bait, waiting patiently before pushing the ball through the covers for a single.

  18. Ind 55-4published at 15 overs

Sophie Ecclestone is into the attack now and will want to find some of that turn Dean has seen from the other end.

The left-arm spinner is on the money straight away, just two from the over, only one of which is off the bat, and four dots to finish.

England are really putting the squeeze on India at the moment.

This group is going through a transition period and Lisa Keightley has been very hands off, very relaxed and laid back. But there are so many young players that maybe it is time for a coach to come in who will have a bit more input with them, more technical and tactical work.

They are a good side but they need to take it to that next level.

  20. Ind 53-4published at 14 overs

    Mandhana 34, Sharma 5

There is plenty of turn on offer for Charlie Dean and she gets through another good over, just two from it - a single and a leg bye.

That turn helps the off-spinner get away with a long hop to end the over, Mandhana not able to get hold of it as the spin makes her stretch to reach the ball.
