    Kaur lbw b Cross 4 (Ind 17-3)

No bat involved and going on to clip leg stump, Kate Cross has three and for the first time in the series, Harmanpreet Kaur is dismissed.

It was full and straight again from Cross, Kaur tried to whip it leg side and was bang in trouble once she missed.

The slope means it was only umpire's call on hitting the stumps but it looked plumb on first viewing. What a start from Kate Cross and England.

That looks plumb. I'd be staggered if it is going over the top. Unless it got an inside edge?

Three for Cross! Or is it?

She raps Kaur on the pad, it looks out, is given out but the India skipper sends it upstairs.

  4. Ind 17-2published at 7 overs

Maiden over from Freya Davies as England keep the pressure up on India's two premier batters.

The ball is doing plenty and batting has been tough but you still need to make the most of the conditions and the England bowlers are doing just that.

Here is the first of Kate Cross' two wickets so far, a beauty that nipped back to bowl Shafali Verma.

Kate Cross has been on the money this morning. A great spell with the new ball.

Kate Cross' bowling: 0% full, 79% good length and 21% short. 3 overs, 1 maidens, went for 3 runs, took 2 wickets with an economy of 1.00.

Everything is happening this over. It has been a superb spell of bowling.

  8. Ind 17-2published at 6 overs

Despite that drop, it is another fantastic over from Cross. She beat Mandhana with a ball that jagged from leg stump to beat the edge and whistle past off.

That was called a no-ball but Mandhana couldn't make the most of the free hit. Another beauty that nips past Kaur to end the over. This is some spell from Cross.

They are very tough to take but Kate Cross will feel as though she could have caught that.

They either stick or they don't.

  10. Kaur dropped on 4published at 5.4 overs

Big chance! Kate Cross could so easily have a third wicket and put herself in that conversation about best Lord's performances but she's put down a sharp return catch.

The India skipper was too early on the shot as she tried to punch the ball back down the ground, it went quickly but at a catchable height and Cross will be frustrated not to have taken it.

Anya Shrubsole took 6-46 in the World Cup final the last time England played here at Lord's.

With that in mind, what is the best individual performance you've seen at the Home of Cricket? There are plenty to choose from over the years.

  12. Ind 15-2published at 5 overs

    Mandhana 11, Kaur 4

Decent over from Freya Davies, just four runs from it.

The seamer does find Kaur's edge early in the over but it's played with soft hands and drops short of the slips.

There's plenty of swing there. You have to remember that at 11am in September, it does a bit.

  14. Ind 11-2published at 4 overs

Two slips in as Cross bowls to Mandhana and they nearly come into play as the bowler nips the ball down the slope - only just past the outside edge.

Harmanpreet Kaur is in to join Mandhana. This is perhaps the partnership for India. If England can break it quickly, they will be in a very strong position.

That'll be easier said than done given they've not managed to dismiss Kaur yet in this ODI series.

What a start from Kate Cross! She has bowled the wobble ball there. It doesn't really do anything off the surface but it is just full and straight.

India in a bit of trouble here.

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 3.1 overs

    Yastika b Cross 0 (Ind 10-2)

Full, straight and Yastika's leg stump is pegged back.

Very good again from Kate Cross, the ball swings late and that is what does for the left-hander, who was already committed to the drive.

India two down early. The ideal start for England.

  17. Ind 10-1published at 3 overs

Davies does drag her length back a touch but offers a little too much width to Mandhana, who punches the ball through the covers again. Off the back foot this time but it's the same result: four runs.

A couple of better deliveries to end the over, though.

Brilliant shot from Mandhana. It was there to be driven. Freya Davies is getting the ball too full, she needs to pull her length back a bit.

  19. Ind 6-1published at 2.2 overs

    Mandhana 6, Yastika 0

Gorgeous shot. Smriti Mandhana drives through the covers for the first boundary of the day.

How many times have we seen her play that shot? It always looks so elegant.

  20. Ind 2-1published at 2 overs

A wicket maiden from Kate Cross. A brilliant over, her first at Lord's since 2014.

It's Yastika Bhatia out to join Smriti Mandhana. The pair have shared very handy partnerships in the first two ODIs, India will be after more of the same.
