Theo: Wade should be out for obstructing the field here… clearly puts his arm across Wood whilst looking at him.

He may have got in the way, but I don't think it was deliberate.

    Agree to disagree, Clint...

England didn't appeal. I think if they had then Wade might have been out. He definitely stuck his arm out and blocked Mark Wood.

If we go to football terminology, his arm definitely wasn't in a natural position.

I'm not sure whether Buttler thinks Wade got in the way of a catch there.

    Target 209

Very interesting. Matthew Wade could be in trouble here. Has he intentionally blocked Mark Wood from getting to the ball to try and take a catch after he top-edged the ball into his helmet.

Buttler and Wood were decidedly unimpressed but I don't think there was an appeal. It will be looked at, though.

I saw Mark Wood yesterday - he is quite a slight man. How does he bowl that fast?!

David Warner is in great touch - the sound off his bat is like a gunshot. The ball cannons off it.

  8. Aus 169-5published at 16 overs

    Target 209

Good finish from Moeen. A single from Warner from the fifth ball and Matthew Wade blocks the last.

Exactly 10 an over needed. Warner holds the key for the Aussies and he'll be facing Mark Wood at the start of the next over.

  9. Aus 168-5published at 15.4 overs

    Target 209

Four more for Warner. This time he is deep in his crease and thumps the ball through the leg side.

The England off-spinner is under pressure now.

  10. Aus 162-5published at 15.2 overs

    Target 209

Moeen Ali is on for the first time in the match and after starting with a dot ball, David Warner reverse-sweeps the next. He gets hold of it well and it's one bounce for four.

Mark Wood bowled to his field there, attacking Tim David's body, and making him hit it to his fielders.

    David c Hales b Wood 0 (Aus 158-5)

Caught in the deep and Mark Wood screams in delight!

The dangerous Tim David is gone third ball. He tries to pull a short ball, gets a top edge and Alex Hales makes no mistake at deep backward square.

Six off the first ball of the over, two wickets for no runs from the next five. Game on!

The extra pace of Mark Wood has done the trick for England, and the door has been creaked open. The game as a contest needed that.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14.3 overs

    Stoinis c Malan b Wood 35 (Aus 158-4)

A glimmer of hope for England. Neither Wood nor Stoinis was going to give an inch, they were both going hard and it's the England man who comes out on top.

Banged in short, Stoinis tried to thump it over the off side but skied it and Dawid Malan got underneath it to take a good catch as he tumbled backwards.

    Aus 158-3published at 14.1 overs

Launched over wide long-on for six. Stoinis made that look remarkable simple.

Full from Wood and he just dismissed it over the boundary cushion.

Topley is not best pleased to be called for a wide for height and will be even less happy after seeing the extra delivery chipped over extra cover and away for four by Warner.

Australia are quickly taking this game away from England. The required rate is down to 9.5 an over, the pitch is good and Warner and Stoinis are hitting it nicely.

  19. Aus 143-3published at 13.2 overs

    Target 209

The runs just keep coming. It's Stoinis again, this time giving himself room and upper-cutting the ball over short third for four.

England need a wicket - and quickly.
