I wasn't sure if Ben Stokes would play more as a batter in this T20 than an all-rounder. It's a belter of a wicket, and maybe not suitable for spin as much as quicker bowling.

Interesting, we're going to see Ben Stokes bowl the next over.

Very good from Rashid after a less than ideal start.

It's Aaron Finch out to join Warner. We're used to seeing these two as an opening pair. What can they do for the Aussies in the middle overs?

Mitch Marsh went back to a delivery which wasn't there to cut. But only because it was a ball which really skidded on to him.

    Marsh b Rashid 36 (Aus 86-2)

Beauty. Rashid goes for the googly first up to Marsh, the batter doesn't pick it and the ball rips back to hit off stump as he tries to cut it.

Just like that the partnership is broken. England's leg-spinner finds the perfect response after that six to start the over.

Mitchell Swepson went quicker and shorter after his first two deliveries where hit for six by Jos Buttler earlier. So how will Adil Rashid adapt here?

Effortless from David Warner. Adil Rashid on and the Australia opener pumps his first ball back over his head for six.

He made that look so easy.

Sam Curran is a strangely effective bowler. A lot of people wouldn't have him in their best team but I was running through his stats from Pakistan and he was England's go-to bowler there. He has so many change-ups you don't know what he will bowl next.

  9. Aus 79-1published at 8 overs

Fantastic fielding in the deep from Harry Brook to deny Marsh a boundary at the end of an impressive Sam Curran over.

Just six runs from it. A couple more like that and the pressure will start to build on the Aussies.

Australia needed to take advantage of the powerplay and they have done that. David Warner has started well and we have seen once you are settled on this pitch it is fairly easy to score.

Wood claws it back to some extent after the delay but Australia are still going along very nicely indeed.

England were 72-0 at the same stage of their innings. This one could go right down to the wire.

Robin Johnson: Result has no importance, but we have to find a way of accommodating Livingstone. If Stokes isn’t going to bowl then Salt or Livi has to play instead. Don’t get me started on Ben Duckett...

We've got a delay as Wood calls for something to be brought out. Sawdust perhaps?

He sent his last delivery down leg for a wide so maybe he felt that was due to slipping in his run up?

Whatever the issue, we're ready to go again now.

I think Mark Wood with his pace will bang it into the surface, and get the Aussie batters to hit square where the majority of England fielders are placed.

Taking on Wood is something that Australia's batters have clearly set out to do, though. Even though he is bowling with genuine pace.

Back of a length from Wood, swung leg side and the ball goes a long, long way up - and just far enough. Six more for Mitch Marsh!

    Worrying for England.

It remains a challenging score for Australia because if you have an over or two below the required rate then it quickly climbs from 10 an over to 14 or 15 and it starts to get away from you.

  18. Aus 62-1published at 6 overs

    Target 209

That's a well bowled over by Sam Curran but it stills costs nine. A pair of twos come from the last two balls and Australia are fractionally ahead of England at the same stage. Albeit England had not lost a wicket.

Sam Curran played all seven T20 matches in Pakistan for England, and along with being their joint wicket-taker had a good economy. He'll go for the odd boundary, but will mix it up with his variations.

  20. Aus 56-1published at 5.2 overs

The power of Marsh is shown here as he completely mishits a slower ball from Curran but finds the gap, and somehow there is enough on it to take the ball to the rope.
