For Ul-Haq this could be a third consecutive century at this ground.

There's plenty of oooohing and aaaahing from England but the Pakistan openers look entirely unflustered.

There hasn't been much of a surface thus far.
Shafique 92, Ul-Haq 94
A colleague of mine slept through England v New Zealand at the 2015 Cricket World Cup. He was supposed to be working.

It's a very sedate morning in Rawalpindi. The handful of spectators that have arrived early are not too vocal just yet. Liam Livingstone is still off the field with the knee problem he suffered yesterday. He was out bowling in the middle before play.
The first thing I did after getting up this morning was watch the highlights of Switzerland's win over Serbia at the football World Cup. It looked a thriller.
It has me racking my brains of times I slept through something famous.
Shafique 90, Ul-Haq 90
It's actually impressive this pitch looks so similar to day one, given it has had 22 men running up and down it for two days. It remains a block of grey.
The England fans are trying to keep the atmosphere going with their rendition of Jerusalem.
Joe Root starts with a bouncer which has everyone giggling.
Who is up then? And why?
I see cricketers. Joe Root has the ball in hand.
Liam Livingstone has been out doing some bowling this morning.
It looks like he'll be fit to bowl today.
England will need "a few crazy moments" to go their way in order to win the first Test against Pakistan, according to all-rounder Will Jacks.
"There's only one team that can win it. Pakistan look like they are happy with a draw," Jacks told Test Match Special.
"With this team environment we've got and our leaders, we'll be pushing for the win no matter what happens."
The only real chance England had to take a wicket yesterday was when Imam-ul-Haq feathered an edge off Jack Leach while on just 11. But Ollie Pope, keeping in the absence of Ben Foakes, spilled it.
Pope was also unlucky when taking a smart diving catch off a Abdullah Shafique glove down the leg side off James Anderson, with replays showing the ball bounced just before it landed in the gloves.
Another day, another new start time. Play begins at 04:45 GMT this morning after yesterday's bad light.

Pakistan fought back on day two to remind England just how hard it will be to win this Test match on such a flat pitch.
They will resume on 181-0 with both openers closing on a century - Imam Ul-Haq is 90 and Abdullah Shafique 89.
They are still 476 runs behind England's mammoth 657, but there is still so much time left in this game.
A long day in the field lies ahead.
