  1. Eng 26-1published at 4 overs

Ollie Pope keeps charging down the wicket and again he very nearly lobs the ball back to Mohammad Ali.

He uses his wrists well though to whip the ball through mid-wicket for another four. England then power through for two runs with a nudge down to third man.

The intent could not be more clear.

  2. Eng 15-1published at 3 overs

England won't change their approach even if they keep losing wickets, which does raise the prospect of them being skittled out for not very much...

That's a lovely shot from Zak Crawley. Not much footwork but perfectly timed as he almost strokes the ball through the covers for four.

    The lead is now 93.

  3. Eng 11-1published at 2 overs

Ollie Pope looks to charge Mohammad Ali, who responds by drawing back his length and Pope, deciding to block instead, very nearly pops the ball back up to the bowler.

That's better from Pope, though. He strides forward again before working the ball through the on-side for the first boundary of the innings.

  4. Eng 4-1published at 1 overs

Naseem Shah is screaming for lbw as he smacks into the pads of Zak Crawley, but the umpire says no.

Pakistan decline the review and it proved to be a wise decision, with the replays showing a faint inside edge off the bat.

That was an eventful first over. The perfect start for Pakistan as they look to stall England's momentum.

So Ollie Pope, after wicketkeeping for more than 150 overs, now finds himself back in the middle with bat in hand.

Wonderful delivery! It carried nicely and Shah is pumped up and is generating that pace.

And Ben Duckett is out for a golden duck next ball! The England opener looked to open the face and glance the ball down to third man - but he can only guide it straight to Agha Salman at second slip!

Babar Azam's captaincy is really going to be tested with how he sets the field.

  9. Eng 1-0published at 0.1 overs

Naseem Shah opens the bowling for Pakistan and Zak Crawley clips the ball to fine leg for a single.

How long do England think they will need to bowl Pakistan out? How much rest do they need to give to their bowlers? We know how they will bat, but how long do they think they need to do it for (if they aren't bowled out). Either way, get ready.

We know what England are going to do, but will they be able to?

Here come Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett. We have just under 40 minutes until lunch.

    Expect fireworks.

Out of nowhere, four days into this match, a stadium announcer has appeared to whip up the crowd. He's leading chants while dance music plays. Not heard a peep from him until now.

England were in the field for 155.3 long overs. But the result is a lead of 78.

We know they are going to be ultra positive, but do they have the time to build a decent total and have enough time to take 10 more Pakistan wickets on what is still a lifeless pitch?

Jacks was nervous in the beginning when he started his spell but once he got into his groove and rhythm, he got wickets. It's a big achievement and congratulations to him.

Pakistan won't be too disappointed with the effort this morning.

    Six wickets for Will Jacks!

He goes around the wicket to Haris Rauf, who attempts a huge heave down the ground but can only edge the ball straight to Joe Root at first slip.

Jacks has a beaming smile on his face as he makes his way off the field, ball held high into the sky.
