Shakeel doesn't look like he wants to get out or that he's going to win this Test match.

We really have had a kaleidoscope of opinions this morning.

Anyway, Pakistan are taking no risks with James Anderson, just a single off his 14th over.

    160 runs needed for victory.

Is being 'prepared to lose' really that commendable? Exciting, yes. Record-breaking, undoubtedly. Entertaining, at times... I'm just worried that this style of play has masked the fact that the national game has been hijacked by two people's egos!

Last time England played in international on this ground in an ODI in 2005, Anderson was man of the match.

He's now taken nine wickets at Rawalpindi with an average of 15.6.

Of the 51 international grounds that Anderson has played two or more matches on, that's his best average anywhere.

That's a good point, Gray. It isn't just how England are playing but how other teams react.

Will we reach a point where every Test team plays in this manner? Can you imagine the excitement?

Azhar Ali gets off the mark with a single before Ben Stokes bowls too short and wide, with Saud Shakeel cutting away for another four.

Think of this declaration differently. It alerts future opposition to an England team that is prepared to lose to win. It will set a cultural change that strikes fear in our opponents - and means no team can cruise through sessions against a predictable and conservative opposition. Bravo to Ben et al.

Oooh, for a moment there I thought Azhar Ali had chopped on but the ball smacks his pads and away.

A wicket maiden from James Anderson. He is 2-15 from 13 overs with seven maidens.

    Like a fine wine.

Rizwan furious with himself and the ball was hit just outside the off stump and Anderson will take it.

There's a breakthrough at the other end though!

James Anderson gets one just to nip away from Mohammad Rizwan who pushes at the ball and feathers it through to Ollie Pope!

    Just what England needed.

Azhar Ali, who retired hurt after a bang on the finger yesterday, is the new batter.

The crowd has been fairly quiet post-lunch but cheers go up as Saud Shakeel pierces the in-field and runs two.

Not much magic from Ben Stokes so far.

Anderson tried to stop that with his left boot but it's played well by Rizwan.

    Pakistan need 170 to win

That's a great shot from Mohammad Rizwan. It is almost a push back down the ground but the timing is so good if fizzes down the ground and away for four.

The next delivery is slightly uppish from Rizwan but it lands well wide of Anderson. It was never really a chance.

Dr James Pope: In an alternative universe, the only people watching this Test Match are those employed to do so. Fortunately, realising they are in an entertainment industry, Stokes & England have loads of people following a thrilling final day. Win/lose/draw, Stokes deserves credit

Shakeel has played really well in his debut match. All results are still possible with a few hours left in this Test.

A watchful first over after lunch for Saud Shakeel as he blocks out Ben Stokes for a maiden.

Stokes is chatting animated with Joe Root at the end of the over, what cunning plans have they come up with I wonder.

James Anderson will bowl at the other end.

Sam Quigley: I'm all for aggressive declarations and forcing results but there is also a series to win which will be a lot harder from 1-0 down. I guess the counter argument is that it will be harder to lose from 1-0 up!

Gaurav Reddy: Being aggressive is one thing, but this declaration was just reckless from Ben Stokes. Should have waited till they got the lead up to 400 at least. Would only have taken them another 6 overs or so the rate at which they were batting

Told you this had got you talking!

The players are coming out into the middle.

A pivotal afternoon session ahead - and Ben Stokes is into the attack.
