Just the one wicket for him this morning but a lot of credit has to go to Ollie Robinson.

He wasn't used yesterday but struck second ball today to break a 91-run stand for the third wicket when he bowled Babar Azam. That opened the door and England quickly burst through it.

Five overs, three maidens, one wicket for runs. Impressive stuff from the seamer.

    Thanks, Tom.

An incredible morning for England. I must admit I thought we could be in for a day watching Pakistan bat with Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel looking so comfortable early on.

However, once Ollie Robinson made that initial breakthrough, it was a different story. Pakistan crumbled, losing their last eight wickets for 60.

England lead by 79. I fancy they'll be aiming to add to that in a hurry in the afternoon session.

Well that was fun, but it is time for me to take a break. Here to guide you through lunch and the afternoon session is the ever-reliable Sam Drury.

An outstanding performance from the England team to take eight wickets in the first session of the day.

That final Pakistan wicket also means it is lunch.

    What a morning for England.

Pakistan were cruising at 142-2 but the dismissal of Babar Azam triggered a collapse, losing five wickets for 11 runs at one stage.

Jack Leach was the pick of the bowlers taking 4-98, including his 100th Test wicket.

England now well on top on this game and will no doubt come out swinging as they look to build a hefty second innings lead.

Wood covers his mouth as if he was embarrassed about the manner in which he took that wicket.

    And there it is.

It is not the best ball Mark Wood will ever bowl but it has taken the final wicket.

It is just short of a length and Faheem Ashraf clips the ball off his pads and it flies straight into the hands of Ben Duckett at deep square leg.

Pakistan all out for 202, giving England a useful lead of 79.

While England openly admit that this revolutionary approach will go wrong on occasion, I'm fascinated to see how the media react when we eventually get skittled for 100 and lose big. Will they stay on board or immediately swap 'swash-buckling pioneers' with 'reckless idiots'?

    Luke, Wantage

Joe Root soon to become third Test player in history to score 10,000 runs and take 50 wickets.. not bad eh. Can you get the other two without looking?

Ha, now Abrar Ahmed joins the party.

He has just opened the face and played a lofted late cut off Mark Wood over the slips and away for four.

This is turning into a useful partnership for Pakistan - much to England's frustration.

  14. Pak 197-9published at 62 overs

Faheem Ashraf goes for the big heave that flies over the outstretched hand of Ben Duckett at mid-on and goes over the rope for four.

A reverse sweep off the final ball also disappears for a boundary.

Ashraf is looking pretty useful here. He is 22 from 29 balls.

Lots of company for Abrar around the wicket.

Faheem Ashraf goes for the single second ball this time to give Joe Root four deliveries to Abrar Ahmed. But credit to the Pakistan debutant he sees them off.

Sat in a bar in Raglan, New Zealand - ordered a pint - five sips, five wickets. Another beer on the way.

Brilliant morning's work from the boys! England's scoring rate making all the difference in the first two innings. 50-odd overs each but a 100-run advantage.

That is a lovely shot from Faheem Ashraf as he plays a powerful sweep-shot through square on the leg-side that perfectly dissects the fielders and goes for four.

A single then brings Abrar Ahmed on strike for the final two balls. England crowd the bat in response - but Abrar survives.
