Slip, leg slip and two short legs in for Joe Root. But Faheem Ashraf sees him off.
Ashraf can bat, it is just a case of scrambling as many as he can now.

I've just noticed, Abrar is in his first Test match and he hasn't even got a bat sponsor. It's a completely plain bat, that's how much expectation there is on his batting.
Jack Leach, eyeing a five-fer, gets another one to turn sharply away from Abrar Ahmed.
Abrar then shapes to leave the final ball of the over, before changing his mind and dabbing the ball down via a couple of bounces towards first slip.
Abrar has a big smile on his face, as do the England fielders.

I think Abrar thought that was the last ball before Lunch because he started walking off. He's been called back.

Sean: Suhel Ahmed (06:52), I hate to break it to you but there is zero chance we’re seeing any cricket late on day four or five!
Abrar Ahmed gets his first runs in Test wickets with a no-look pull that brings two.
Unconventional but effective.
Abrar is going to have a go I think, and why not.
Abrar Ahmed is the number 11. Play will continue now for another half an hour or until England get the final wicket, whatever is sooner.

In the whole history of DRS, I've never seen a plumber LBW than that reviewed. You can understand why they did though.
Mahmood lbw b Wood 0 (Pak 179-9)
Yep. Going on to hit the middle of middle. Pakistan are nine down.
This is optimistic to say the least.
Mark Wood has pinned Zahid Mahmood bang in front.
Pakistan have three reviews left and decide to use one. It looked outer than out, though.
The collective will of you all is bringing England good luck this morning. Keep it up.

Thom Di Choi: On the final leg of a 32-hour journey home from Vietnam… on the first train out of London to Ipswich and we get a wicket every time I refresh. I’m not being greedy with my refreshes but it’s working well so far.

Faheem Ashraf taking a leaf out of England's book there. Maybe Jimmy Anderson's book or Ben Duckett's book.
That's a good shot. It is another reverse sweep from Faheem Ashraf and it has enough power on it this time to beat the fielder and run away for four.
Pakistan still 102 runs behind. We will probably squeeze in one more over before lunch.

Pete Hotchkiss: Woke up 20 mins ago. Turned TMS on and England have taken four wickets. I'm taking the credit.
Sorry, Pete, the credit has already been dished out to Jamie (06:32) and his kitchen visits.
Joe Root finds a bit of extra bounce that beats everyone, including Ollie Pope, and the ball runs away for four byes.
Pakistan will take anything they can at the moment.

Rachel T: Oh what a beautiful morning.
Suhel Ahmed: What a session from Ben Stokes' boys, reverse and spin has strangled Pakistan big time. Simply outstanding to watch. Could get a handy lead of 40-plus potentially. This track will play havoc come late day four and day five!
Pakistan have lost five wickets for 11 runs. Incredible.
New batter Faheem Ashraf gets off the mark with a reverse sweep of Jack Leach for two.

Pakistan could be bowled out before Lunch. If one more wicket goes down, Lunch could be delayed.
