Babar b Robinson 75 (Pak 142-3)
Yes. Yes he can.
With just his second ball of the innings he has clean bowled Babar Azam with the wobble ball that has swung into Babar and flown through the gate as he attempted an expansive drive.
A huge wicket for England as Babar looked nailed on for three figures there.
Finally it is time for Ollie Robinson. Can he make the breakthrough for England?

The curators take pride in their creations.

The curator was very pleased with the pitch. He told me, "This is how you make a wicket, we got runs and wickets".
It is a second half-century in as many Tests for Saud Shakeel as he plays another perfectly timed sweep-shot in front of square on the leg-side for four.
This already feels ominous for England.

Beautifully driven through the covers by Saud Shakeel. The dhols are going early morning here at Multan.
Saud Shakeel makes the most of his reprieve with a textbook drive through the covers. Beautiful shot.

That should have been a run out for England.

Shakeel was nowhere near his stumps. Zak Crawley had a split-second longer than he thought.
Hit and that's out.
A mix-up between the batters as they consider a quick single leaves Saud Shakeel stranded in the middle of the wicket. Zak Crawley goes for the throw but is off-balance as he releases the ball and it misses by a few inches.
Shakeel was way short of his ground.
Saud Shakeel is timing it well this morning. He has just nailed a sweep-shot through square leg.
This is pretty imperious from Babar Azam as well. Jack Leach is bowling too short and Babar is able to whip the ball through mid-wicket for four.
Great shot. Pakistan have made a good start.

That's a nice shot from Shakeel. He timed it through the off-side and didn't try to hit it too hard.
Nice shot from Saud Shakeel as he guides the ball through point for four.
No alarm bells for Pakistan so far this morning.

Mike Bell: Alarm 4.38 ready for cricket. But unable find phone to follow match, usually on bedside table. Nope. Dressing gown on, went downstairs, wife woke up, questions asked. Phone on table outside after putting rubbish out last night, minus 4 degrees. Cricket better be good.

This is a dead pitch for the quicker bowlers. You've got to bowl it in and just hope for it to bounce someone out. Just looking at the pitch on our monitors and there are a lot of big cracks.
England have seven bowling options. They've got to get their combinations right.
Jack Leach begins with a front foot no-ball. How does a spinner do that?
Just one slip and short leg in for Leach, who finds a bit of turn. This is a pitch that leans in favour of the spinners so the Somerset man is likely in for a bit of a shift today.

It's going to be Jack Leach and they've got a deep mid-wicket. That cheers me up a little bit.

Oh Babar goes for a chop shot and misses it. Not too dissimilar to the way he was dismissed in the first Test but probably didn't bounce as much. Anderson rolled his fingers over that.
Ooh, James Anderson bowls an off-cutter that jags in to Babar Azam who very nearly under-edges through to Ollie Pope.
There's definitely a bit of spice in this pitch in places.
He pushes the next ball into the off-side for two for the first runs of the morning.
England will open with spin at the other end. Here's Jack Leach.
