WOOF! What a delivery Mark Wood!
It is full, fast and straight, before shaping back in, fizzing through the gate and smashing into the stumps.
Wood leaps into the air in delight.

In response to Paul (08:22), I think the best reaction to getting out was Mike Gatting from Shane Warne's ball of the century. Sheer disbelief at what the late great Shane Warne had done. There won't be another character like him again. He was pure class.

Fizzy Bubblech: Surely Jimmy will go down as THE greatest fast bowler to ever play the game. I remember the struggles he had early on, was dropped for a while before returning to be THE man.
If they stick, they stick. If they don't, they don't!
Saud Shakeel has flicked the ball to Harry Brook at short leg who sticks out a palm but the ball goes into his grasps and bounces out again.
Technically a drop but it was a very difficult chance.

That was a meaty hit from Shafique.
That will make Abdullah Shafique feel a bit better. It is a gift from Jack Leach, dropped in short, and Shafique does well to pull the ball over mid-wicket for four runs.
The first real aggressive shot we have seen from Shafique for a while.
England looking to squeeze Pakistan as they bring in two slips and a couple of catchers at short mid-off and mid-on.
Saud Shakeel nudges a single to bring Abdullah Shafique back on strike, who has scored just six runs since lunch.

I get the feeling Leach is going to be doing a lot of work today.
Slip and leg slip in for Jack Leach as Abdullah Shafique dances down the track and lofts the ball over mid-off for two.
A rare show of attacking intent from Shafique, though he didn't quite middle it.
We have just seen a shot of Imam-ul-Haq padded up in the Pakistan dressing room. So he is likely to be in next.

Glenn McGrath's nickname was Pigeon. In 20 years time, Jimmy will be known as the Bald Eagle and will still be picking off his prey.

Imam-ul-Haq has now returned from the hospital and is available to bat. That's some good news for Pakistan.
James Anderson just strays on leg stump and Abdullah Shafique works it into a gap through mid-wicket and Pakistan run three. That has cheered the crowd up.
Anderson then comes around the wicket to the left-handed Saud Shakeel, who leaves one outside his off stump. That's brave given what happened to Babar earlier.
Time for some spin now. Here's Jack Leach.

I can't see Pakistan scoring very quickly for the next 15 overs or so.

Richard Wood: Of all those who were confident that Jimmy was a good pick for Pakistan (even though he can only take wickets in England, under clouds, on green-tops etc, obvs...), how many of them genuinely expected him to be IMPROVING his career average? #goat
Indeed. Pakistan have scored just seven runs in eight overs for the loss of two wickets since lunch.
Mark Wood tries a change of angle, coming around the wicket to Saud Shakeel, who safely ducks underneath a bouncer. Pakistan are in survival mode at the moment.
Time for another change of bowling as James Anderson returns.

Pakistan were scoring at 4.3 an over before lunch. Now they're going at exactly three. Shows how much pressure the England pacers have put on.

Rev Aidan Watson: RE: post at 7:50. Hearing Aggers say "mate" about Rizwan might be the most disturbing thing I've heard in a while. This new approach to Test cricket has gone too far.
This is great bowling from Ollie Robinson, he is offering no width to the Pakistan batters. He has bowled three maidens out of four in this spell.
