Rizwan is just standing there. Mate your off stump has been knocked out. He couldn't quite believe it. It was a terrific delivery.

    There you go Rachel!

This is classic James Anderson as he gets one to straighten slightly and move away from Mohammad Rizwan before clattering into the stumps.

Rizwan is stunned. I'm not sure he quite believes what happened.

Anderson is bowling to a very odd field. There's only a leg-slip. There's no conventional slip. There are two short covers and a short mid-wicket.

We are going to see James Anderson have a bowl for the first time this innings.

We've let Pakistan have a good start... need to curtail this run rate swiftly. Still think we have enough on the board.

The crowd in Multan has steadily grown throughout the morning. They certainly sense something special could be on here.

    Here come the players.

Three of their remaining five wickets were given away cheaply this morning, but I think England were confident of defending the runs they already had even at close last night.

Pakistan have made a good start but a few wickets can change everything. They still have a long way to go.

Getting tired about all the talk about the batting when the bowlers keep winning the Tests. Got to do more again about the three wickets thrown away this morning. Bowlers been brilliant winning the SA Test, the first here and then that performance in the first innings. Got to do it again after little rest.

  12. Australia complete series win over West Indiespublished at 07:30 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2022

Meanwhile in Adelaide, Australia wrapped up a series victory against West Indies with a dominant 419-run win in the second day-night Test.

Chasing an unlikely target of 497, the tourists crumbled to 77 all out in the first session of day four at the Adelaide Oval.

Scott Boland, Michael Neser and Mitchell Starc each took three wickets.

Tagenarine Chanderpaul top-scored for West Indies with 17, with only four other players reaching double figures.

I'm not sure this target is big enough; too much time in the game and a pretty decent wicket?

  14. What has happened so far on day threepublished at 07:20 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2022

If you are just joining us here is a rundown of what has happened so far today:

    • England began the day on 202-5 and lost their final wickets for the addition of 73 runs, setting Pakistan a victory target of 355
    • Harry Brook scored a superb second Test century before being caught in the deep for 108
    • Mohammad Rizwan was promoted to open the batting for Pakistan as Imam-Ul-Haq has gone for a scan on a hamstring issue
    • Rizwan and Abdullah Shafique have guided Pakistan to 64-0 at lunch, with another 291 runs needed to win

Pakistan have been knocking these runs off pretty quickly, going at 4.4 runs an over.

If they carry on like this they will chase that target down. They said in the press conference last night that they were confident of chasing down 350 and now they have that opportunity.

    Thanks, Anurag.

This match continues to race along. England began the day in control but that session has given Pakistan hope of victory.

The pitch is offering a bit of turn and the odd one is keeping low, but it is still a good track to bat on.

    A fascinating afternoon session awaits.

    Target 355

That will be lunch. Both teams will head into contrasting moods in their respective dressing rooms.

There will be hints of concern in England's camp while Pakistan will be feeling cautiously optimistic.

That's it from me. Here's Tom Mallows to take you through lunch and beyond.

Wood bangs it in short and Shafique takes him on. It was top-edgy but the pace meant it sailed over the fine-leg fence for a maximum.

A lovely shot from Shafique to finish the over. He got down low and swept one crisply through square leg.

Just one over left before lunch then. Can England get a breakthrough?
