Azhar Ali has finished his Test career with 7,142 runs, at an average of 42 in his 97th Test. He is fifth on all-time Test runs for Pakistan.

He is the highest scoring specifically for No.3 with over 5,000 runs and the seventh highest in Test history, just ahead of Don Bradman, whose final innings he replicated today.

Change of bowling as Mark Wood is given a rest and Ollie Robinson comes into the attack for the first time this innings.

  3. Pak 69-3published at 20 overs

Lovely footwork from Babar Azam has he skips down the track to negate any turn from Jack Leach and works the the ball through the leg side for four.

Brilliant shot. Pakistan need more of that as they are effectively 19-3.

A Jack Leach stat that will warm the heart of Somerset fans.

An unassisted top three dismissal, e.g. bowling, lbw or hitting the wickets, he's only the second England bowler to do that since 1965. The other was Matthew Hoggard against Sri Lanka in 2002.

  5. Pak 65-3published at 19 overs

Babar Azam gets off the mark as he fends off an attempted yorker from Mark Wood.

Wood then reverts to the short stuff for Saud Shakeel, who successfully fends him off.

We see several replays of Wood just straying into the danger zone in the middle of the pitch on his follow through. That will earn him a ticking off from the umpires if he keeps doing that.

Run out without facing a ball after colliding with the batter on-strike. I think technically he was closest to the broken stumps, but seeing as he was 97* I gallantly fell on my sword. Sadly he was clean bowled the next over and never made his century.

If there was ever a time for the Anchorman 'that escalated quickly' meme that was it.

What a few overs from Jack Leach. He has dragged the match back in England's favour.

  8. Pak 64-3published at 18 overs

Ben Stokes keeps plenty of fielders around the bat. That opens up plenty of gaps of course and Saud Shakeel helps himself to a four and a two.

Ooh, Jack Leach then gets one to keep very low that beats Saud Shakeel's defences, through Ben Foakes' legs and away for four byes.

Defended! There's oohs and ahhs from the England fielders as Saud Shakeel comfortably blocks out the hat-trick ball.

Hat-trick ball coming up. Ben Stokes has brought in six fielders around the bat.

Saud Shakeel is the new batter.

    Shafique lbw b Leach 26 (Pak 54-3)

Jack Leach has done it again!! And he is on a hat-trick!

There is just a hint of turn as it pitches on leg stump, skids on and traps Abdullah Shafique bang in front.

He ponders a review but wisely decides against it. It looked plumb.

    Pakistan lead by four

Here is captain Babar Azam, so often the keystone wicket of the Pakistan innings.

Mark Wood is pushing 90mph as he continues to bound in. Pakistan are in preservation mode though after those two quickfire dismissals.

I was once "caught and bowled" when a straight drive hit the non striker and rebounded into bowler's hands. Both batsmen left the crease, me as I was out, my opening partner "retired hurt". On another occasion I was "caught" gully first ball of the match when I hit the fielder in his rather ample stomach which he trapped whilst holding the area winded and in agony. Again both of us left the field, me out and he for treatment.

    Azhar b Leach 0 (Pak 53-2)

And Jack Leach has bowled him as well!!

It is a four-ball duck for Azhar Ali in his final innings in Test cricket.

It was a fullish delivery with a bit of turn that Azhar attempted to clip into mid-wicket but ends up yorking himself.

The England players all shake Azhar's hand before his Pakistan team-mates give him a guard of honour as he leaves the field.
