That is such a big breakthrough, right as that partnership looked set.

Shakib Al Hasan is into the attack now.

    Game on!

Mehidy works through his over brilliantly, nearly having Moeen caught from a leading edge early on.

The England batter looks all at sea as the spinner beats his bat and takes out his off stump with the last ball of the over. In comes Chris Woakes.

    Target 210

I'm feeling a lot more comfortable now. England continue to score runs as Malan chips one off the bowling of Mustafizur through mid-wicket for four more.

  4. Eng 132-5published at 33 overs

And a dot to finish. A fine over from England, 12 runs from it which releases plenty of pressure.

England need 78 from 17 overs.

  5. 6 runs

    Here come the boundaries.

Malan goes one better next ball with a six down the ground.

  6. Eng 126-5published at 32.4 overs

    Target 210

Hammered! Is this a change of plan for England? Dawid Malan takes two steps and bang, he smashes Mehidy through the covers for four.

  7. Eng 120-5published at 32.1 overs

    Malan 50, Moeen 10

Mehidy Hasan Miraz is back into the attack. His first ball after drinks is a dot.

    Very apt.

Next ball and Moeen finds the fielder. England need another 90 runs from 18 overs as we hit drinks.

Dawid Malan reaches his third ODI fifty with a single down to long off.

It's been a really measured knock from Malan on what is a very tricky pitch. His knock has included just one four and two sixes from 92 balls.

  10. Eng 118-5published at 31.1 overs

Najmul Hossain Shanto comes into the attack for the first time today. Malan moves on to 49 off 91 with a quick single to the off side.

  11. Eng 117-5published at 31 overs

    Moeen 9 Malan 48

Lovely from Moeen Ali who ends a run of 16 straight dots by flicking Taskin through the leg side for four.

    England needed that.

  12. Eng 113-5published at 30.3 overs

Taskin has Moeen chasing a bouncer which, fortunately for England, the batter just misses as the ball flies to the keeper.

Taskin then pumps his fists, getting the crowd to respond. Bangladesh are well up for this, they sense they're only a couple of wickets away.

England are hanging in there. After three dots Malan gets twitchy on 48, trying to cut while cramped for room and nearly ends up chopping the ball on.

Another dot from Mehidy and that's a maiden.

  15. Eng 113-5published at 29 overs

The pressure builds. Just the risky single of Taskin's over.

  16. Eng 113-5published at 28.2 overs

England survive - by the barest of margins.

Malan calls for a terrible single which nearly has Moeen Ali run out but Mehidy's throw just misses the stumps by a whisker.

    And breathe.

  17. Eng 112-5published at 28 overs

A much tidier over from Bangladesh, just two runs from it as Moeen leaves a couple of deliveries, allowing himself to get set.

Bangladesh are going to return to pace now. Taskin is getting loose.

Better from England as they manoeuvre the field with singles.

Six runs from Mustafizur's latest over.

  19. Eng 106-5published at 26.2 overs

    Malan 44, Moeen 2

That'll help. England get a cheap run as Mustafizur fires in a wide.

The crowd are tense, they can sense this is a big period of this match.

  20. Eng 104-5published at 26 overs

    Target 210

Moeen Ali comes to the crease. He starts with a single, dabbed through the off side.

A big partnership is needed for England.
