Sussex 361 v Yorkshire 166-5
Ollie Robinson's dismissal of George Hill turns out to be the last ball of his spell.
Nathan McAndrew comes on in his place.
James Anderson takes 5-76 for Lancashire, but Somerset's Tom Abell makes career-best 151
England's Ben Duckett hits 177 for Notts against Middlesex at Lord's
Hampshire captain James Vince makes 186 against Northamptonshire.
Tom Westley and Nick Browne score hundreds for Essex against Kent.
Yorkshire seamer Ben Coad takes 5-54 against Sussex at Hove.
No play possible at Worcester and Cardiff on second day because of rain
Adam Lanigan, Ben Pheazey and Paul Grunill
Sussex 361 v Yorkshire 166-5
Ollie Robinson's dismissal of George Hill turns out to be the last ball of his spell.
Nathan McAndrew comes on in his place.
Northants 85-5 v Hants 482-8 dec
Mohammad Abbas offers too much width at the start of a new over and Josh Cobb cracks it away behind point for four runs.
Partner Lewis McManus has a problem with his right hand which requires treatment from the physio. After sending for a drink, he carries on.
Hill b Robinson 8 (Sussex 361 v Yorks 158-5)
That's Robinson's first wicket of the innings after some rotten luck earlier this afternoon.
Hill is late on a defensive shot and bowled through the gate.
Dom Bess will bat next.
Middlesex 83-1 v Notts 364
A short ball from James is swung away to the leg side by Stoneman, who reaches 50 off 71 balls with his eighth four.
Really good innings from the experienced Middlesex opener, who has looked in superb touch this evening.
Sussex 361 v Yorks 155-4
George Hill uses his feet well to Carson and lofts the spinner over mid on for six.
What a stylish way to reach the innings 150, coming in 43.4 overs.
Keogh c Brown b Abbas 11 (Northants 76-5 v Hants 482-8 dec)
You see that so many times when Mohammad Abbas is bowling - just enough nip to take the edge and the keeper does the rest.
Rob Keogh departs and Northants are now hanging on to try and reach stumps without further damage. Lewis McManus is the new batter against his former club.
Middlesex 76-1 v Notts 364
Stoneman turns Paterson away through mid wicket and Hameed does well to keep it to just a single.
Paterson beats Malan outside off sump and the Middlesex number three is now batting outside his crease to try and negate the movement off seam and slope.
Just two runs from the over.
Somerset 441 v Lancashire 302-1
As we may have guessed, that is the close of play in the west country.
A chastening last two sessions for Somerset as Lancashire have taken a big chunk out of that first innings deficit.
A shout out too, to Jimmy Anderson for his 5-76, which has got better and better watching the Somerset seamers toiling on this surface.
Northants 76-4 v Hants 482-8 dec
James Fuller is too full and Josh Cobb eases it back past the stumps for another four, taking him to 17 not out.
Fuller is a bit quicker than Mo Abbas and strikes the batter a blow on the gloves by way of response.
Malan b Carlson 37 (Sussex 361 v Yorks 147-4)
Huge breakthrough for Sussex and Carson has his second wicket.
A beautifully flighted delivery with a bit of teasing width and Malan is bowled trying to stroke the ball away off the back foot.
George Hill will join Shai Hope in the middle.
Northants 72-4 v Hants 482-8 dec
Mohammad Abbas returns for a new spell and his first ball is driven through mid-off for four by Josh Cobb.
Abbas adjusts his length and is pulled away for another boundary - clearly Cobb is no great respecter of reputations.
Still 16 more overs to be bowled.
Middlesex 69-1 v Notts 364
A bright start for Pieter Malan who hits a couple of fours off Paterson - one nudged away behind gully and another flicked away to square leg.
Sussex 361 v Yorks 147-3
Hope drives Robinson through cover off the back foot for four.
In the air for a bit but that raced to the boundary like a tracer bullet.
Somerset 441 v Lancashire 302-1
Lancashire help themselves to nine runs off Jack Brooks' latest over and it's enough to bring up their second batting point.
But the light has deteriorated sufficiently for the umpires to bring them off the field.
Keaton Jennings has 124 and Bohannon has fairly raced to 73 and the partnership is worth 148.
Middlesex 61-1 v Notts 364
Stoneman gets a short ball from James and drives square on the off side for four.
Four more driving on the up through mid off.
Quite easily his best innings of the season to date - against a very good attack and in reply to a more than respectable Notts innings.
Kent v Essex 289-1
The bad light has indeed ended play early for a second successive day in Canterbury.
Nick Browne and Tom Westley remain unbeaten for a second night as Essex remain in a dominant position.
The trouble for them is the amount of time that has been lost already. Kent's hopes of a win in this game are surely over.
Somerset 441 v Lancashire 293-1
Somerset turn to the part-time left-arm seam of Tom Lammonby.
He gets one loose drive from Josh Bohannon which flies down to the boundary for four, but he doesn't stem the runs.
16 off the over. The home side need this today to finish. And quickly!
And with those runs, Lancashire have avoided the follow-on in just 58 overs.
Sussex 361 v Yorks 141-3
Shai Hope is off the mark third ball as he drives Hudson-Prentice through the off side for four.
Five off the over in total and a theoretical 20 overs left tonight.
Northants 50-4 v Hants 482-8 dec
Josh Cobb edges one past the slips and collects his first run as the Northants total reaches 50.
Rob Keogh survives another confident appeal to end Kyle Abbott's latest over, but the home side are under severe pressure now.
Robson lbw b James 17 (Middlesex 50-1 v Notts 364)
Gone! James gets the ball to move into the Middlesex opener who is pinned in front of all three.
Notts have a valuable breakthrough after a promising Middlesex partnership.
Still 12 overs left tonight as Pieter Malan joins Stoneman in the middle.
