James Fuller is convinced he has another as he raps Rob Keogh on the pad, but the umpire does not elevate the index finger - but it's 2-4 from two overs so far by the Hampshire paceman.

Jack Leach drops short and Josh Bohannon pierces the off-side field to pick up four more.
With that boundary, Leach is over 100 runs conceded in his 17th over.
He really has not provided the control that captain Tom Abell would have wanted.

I always feel that sort of description does the Essex opener something of a disservice but the fact is he is unfussy, unflustered and effective at what he does.
That translates as a very good cricketer and it is a well deserved century for Browne who has a history of going big when he gets to three figures…
