  12. Jennings worry for Red Rosepublished at 13:00 British Summer Time 22 April 2023

    Somerset 441 v Lancs 436-4

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

Concern for Keaton Jennings who limped off with what looks like a muscle injury and Lancashire will be hoping it's not calf related.

He's suffered from calf problems over the last couple of season and the sight of the Lancashire physio stretching out his left leg will be a worry.

For Somerset, it's presented an real opportunity, Jennings looked like he could bat all day. A first-innings lead and maximum batting points is still very much on for the Red Rose.

Ali Orr run out Coad 26

Run out backing up! Absolute horror dismissal.

Tom Haines drives back to the bowler, who gets a hand on it before the ball clatters into the stumps at the non-striker's end.

Third time he's suffered this fate - and straight after a confident pull shot and drive, both yielding fours.

Yorkshire have a breakthrough in a way they could scarcely have imagined.

The new batter is Tom Alsop.

    Kent 10-0 v Essex 451-5 dec

    Zak CrawleyImage source, Rex Features

Essex have done what was required this morning, scoring 162 off only 23.4 overs to bring up the 450.

Now they have chance to attack the Kent batting, albeit without the injured Sam Cook.

Zak Crawley is opening, and with other openers around the country scoring hundreds this week, the spotlight is on.

First ball from Jamie Porter and he edges it through a vacant third slip area for four. Not the most convincing shot.

Next over and he is gifted a legside half-volley from Shane Snater and that is properly dispatched to the boundary.

This is some spell from Kyle Abbott. He now has 3-7 from four overs as Rob Keogh is trapped leg-before for a five-ball duck. Northants now in freefall, it would seem.
