    James Vince enforces the follow-on. He couldn't really have done anything else because, as BBC Radio Northampton's Andrew Radd says, the forecast isn't great for the final day.

    Ricardo Vasconcelos is on a pair and living dangerously as he he is struck on the pads by the first ball of the second over from Kyle Abbott.

    He then prods the next one straight back at the South African, who seems surprised to find the ball flying back at him and floors the chance.

    Only yourself to blame there, Kyle.

    Ali Orr and Tom Haines are ready to push on with an innings advantage of 63.

    Near run out for Ryan Higgins as he pushes his first ball to point and scampers a very tight single after a bit of hesitation between him and Simpson.

    Two more runs off Paterson as Higgins tickles a leg side ball around the corner - and that takes the hosts to 150 in the 47th over.

    Career-best figures of 4-81 for Marnus Labuschagne as he brings Liam Trevaskis' fine innings to an end.

    And that is enough for Durham who call a halt to their innings without last man Matthew Kuhnemann having to go to the middle.

    Dane Vilas guides or edges one, depending on your preference, down to the vacant boundary at third man for four to bring up his side's 400.

    No such luck two balls later as he drives nicely for four more.

    Lancashire still trail by 36 runs, but they are in total dominance of this game right now.

    A fine innings of 76 is applauded by the Middlesex faithful as the opening batter plays around a straightening delivery and is struck on the knee roll.

    Good set up by the bowler who bowled a few short balls and then pitched it up.

    The umpire raises the finger of doom and Ryan Higgins will bat next.

    Michael Pepper grabs a single off Joey Evison and that is the 50 partnership between him and Nick Browne.

    The opener then gets it on the act as he whips Evison over deep square for a maximum. That shot was all in the wrists!

    A first six of Browne's long stint at the crease.

    That ends the Yorkshire innings. 63 behind Sussex but the hosts would've hoped for a much bigger lead when the 9th Yorkshire wicket fell at 239.

    James Fuller has the final word as he picks up his fourth wicket of the morning - three of them bowled - to finish with figures of 6-37.

    That is - as we mentioned a few minutes ago - the 200th first-class wicket of the Hampshire paceman's career.

    Northants now face the prospect of following on, 333 in arrears, with only 10 batters available because of Lewis McManus' injury.

    Can they at least extend this game into the final day?

    Durham have maximum batting points at Cardiff but have lost another wicket with Ben Raine caught off Marnus Labuschagne for four.

    Liam Trevaskis has just hit a boundary in the Australian's next over and is now 72 not out.

    He scoops Conor McKerr for six and in the next over, he uses his feet to dance down to Nathan Gilchrist and blast him over cover for another maximum.

    Essex now have a third batting point and have 25 overs to try to get two more.

    With Lewis McManus unable to resume his innings, last man Jack White comes out for Northants.

    Chris Tremain belts the ball back over Kyle Abbott's head for four and the South African replies with a bouncer which puts him on his back as he takes evasive action.

    Tremain edges the next over the slips for four, much to the bowler's chagrin.
