    Bancroft c Bell b Bailey 4 (Somerset 441 & 53-3 v Lancashire 554)

    Lancashire are sensing blood now!!

Tom Bailey puts one in the right place, on or around off-stump and Cameron Bancroft can only edge it through to the wicketkeeper.

A good ball early in a batter's innings and Bailey has his second.

The deficit is still 60 for Somerset as Tom Kohler-Cadmore comes to the crease.

    Dent c Cox b Waite 83 (Worcs 157 v Gloucs 231 & 210-4)

Chris Dent really is in stand and deliver/white-ball/Bazball mode at New Road, but his ambition is not matched by the certainty of his strokeplay and he skies a catch to the keeper after going across his stumps and trying to swing Matthew Waite away over the leg side.

Unselfish batting, though, by the left-hander and Gloucestershire lead by 284 as Oliver Price comes out to bat.

    Dickson lbw b Anderson 19 (Somerset 441 & 53-2 v Lancashire 554)

Jimmy Anderson has his man this time!

Sean Dickson is playing a dangerous game shuffling across his crease to Test cricket's leading wicket-taking fast bowler.

And he is undone as Anderson moves it past his bat and strikes him on the pad and there is no chance this was going over the top.

    Somerset 441 & 53-1 v Lancashire 554

Cameron Bancroft is the new Somerset batter.

And the Australia man gets off the mark straight away, happily hitting Tom Bailey's legside half-volley to the boundary.

Remember, Bancroft was the leading run-scorer in Australia's Sheffield Shield competition over the winter.

    Worcs 157 v Gloucs 231 & 206-3

Gloucestershire pass 200 as Chris Dent goes aerial off Joe Leach.

The ball plugs in the ground after clearing the mid-on fielder and they run through for two.

Undaunted, Dent crashes the ball over extra cover for the 11th boundary of his innings. He is now 80 not out.

    Lammonby c de Grandhomme b Bailey 23 (Somerset 441 & 49-1 v Lancashire 554)

Tom Bailey wins the battle of the Toms!

The Lancashire bowler gets Tom Lammonby driving and it flashes into the safe hands of Colin de Grandhomme at second slip.

Lammonby will be disappointed but he had to play at that one.

for Kiran Carlsonpublished at 11:15 British Summer Time 23 April 2023

    Glamorgan 167-6 v Durham 471-9 dec

Kiran Carlson reaches his 50 off 72 balls with a boundary at the start of a new Brydon Carse. He's in decent nick at the moment following his 106 against Gloucestershire.

Dan Douthwaite ends the over with four runs of his own and the deficit for Glamorgan is now 304.

    Somerset 441 & 49-0 v Lancashire 554

    Close!

Jimmy Anderson has a big LBW appeal as he hits Sean Dickson as the opener shuffles across the crease.

Probably too high in the umpire's mind.

Lancashire know they need some early breakthroughs.

    Worcs 157 v Gloucs 231 & 193-3

    Close.

Graeme van Buuren pulls a ball from Joe Leach and is fortunate that it drops just in front of Azhar Ali as he dives in from the boundary.

Chris Dent attempts a cover drive and the ball just misses the edge, but makes no mistake as Leach drops short and square cuts for four.

    The lead is 267.

    Worcs 157 v Gloucs 231 & 186-3

Graeme van Buuren is obviously in the mood at New Road.

He clips Ben Gibbon through mid-wicket for four but the young paceman is unlucky with the last ball of the over as Chris Dent edges into a gap in the slip cordon and picks up a streak boundary.

    Dent is 70 not out.

    Cooke c Robinson b Carse 32 (Glamorgan 153-6 v Durham 471-9 dec)

Perfect start for Durham as Brydon Carse finds the edge with his third ball of the day and Chris Cooke edges behind.

His downfall ends a stand of 64 with Kiran Carlson, who has now been joined by Dan Douthwaite. He is quickly off the mark with a single.

    Somerset 441 & 46-0 v Lancashire 554

A nice start to Sean Dickson's day as he drives Tom Bailey through the covers for four.

That takes Dickson to 19 not out - equalling the number of runs he had managed in his first five Somerset innings following his move from Durham.

  14. Postpublished at 11:05 British Summer Time 23 April 2023

    Worcs 157 v Glous 231 & 177-3

Graeme van Buuren crackas the day's first boundary away off Joe Leach. Left-armer Ben Gibbon will open up from the other end and his wayward first delivery sails harmlessly down the leg-side.

    Kevin Hand
    BBC Radio London

Given the movement of the rain clouds, it's hard to tell if we're in for a long delay or a short one - as Kevin Hand explains...

It's only a spit of rain at the moment, but there's a big band of rain that could shoot up the English Channel, perhaps.

Certainly at the moment it looks like we'll get just a little bit of it, sweeping across London from the South.

  16. Start delayed at Canterburypublished at 11:02 British Summer Time 23 April 2023

    Kent 342-7 v Essex 451-5 dec

The rain in the south east means that play has been delayed in Canterbury.

With so much time lost on the first two days, the chances of a win for either Kent or Essex appear to have gone.

    Glamorgan 153-5 v Durham 471-9 dec

It's all about avoiding the follow-on for Glamorgan. Liam Trevaskis will complete the over he was two balls into when play was halted last evening. No addition by Kiran Carlson from it.

So what sort of total are Gloucestershire looking at here before declaring? Joe Leach has the ball and will bowl the day's opening over for Worcestershire. Chris Dent has 66 not out and Graeme van Buuran is on seven.

  20. Delay likely at Lord'spublished at 10:57 British Summer Time 23 April 2023

    Middlesex 274 v Notts 364 & 158-6

Grey skies and light rain here at cricket HQ but I'm sorry to say that heavier bursts are expected later.

Notts have a lead of 248 but ideally will want a bit more than that before setting a target.
