  1. Durham in controlpublished at 13:20 British Summer Time 13 June 2023

    Durham 521-8 v Glamorgan 390 - lunch, day three

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Durham are in a commanding position in Chester-le-Street thanks to 151 from David Bedingham and 80 from Graham Clark. Their partnership of 149 was Durham's highest against Glamorgan for a sixth wicket.

Meanwhile the team score is their joint highest against Glamorgan as well, equalling their 521-9 dec in the first County Championship meeting between the two in Cardiff in 1992. That game included appearances by a certain Ian Botham and Dean Jones.

The plan this afternoon will no doubt to me to move on as quickly as possible before having a go at the Glamorgan batsmen with the new ball.

Puzzlingly, spinners Andrew Salter and Prem Sisodiya have only bowled 19 overs between them, while skipper Kiran Carlson has bowled himself for 20.

  3. Lunch at Trent Bridgepublished at 13:11 British Summer Time 13 June 2023

    Notts 155 & 19-0 f/o v Warks 571-9d

10 extra minutes in the morning session at Trent Bridge as they make up eight overs in the day from time lost to a thunderstorm yesterday evening.

The resumed five down, quickly lost captain Steven Mullaney, and after a stand of 44 for the seventh wicket, were bundled out.

The follow-on was a no brainer with a lead of 416.

Notts have at least survived four overs to lunch but they face five sessions of batting to try and rescue a draw here.

  4. Lunch at Canterburypublished at 13:10 British Summer Time 13 June 2023

    Kent 301 & 344 v Surrey 145 & 7-1

Fair to say it's been Kent's morning.

Resuming on 197-6, their mid-to-lower order produced some brilliant big-hitting as Hamidullah Qadri (72) and Joey Evison (42) put on a seventh-wicket century stand before Matt Quinn added 37 off 22 balls.

They then struck early in Surrey's reply to remove opener Rory Burns - and it almost got worse for the leaders with the final ball before lunch as Tom Latham narrowly survived a run-out appeal.

Kent lead by 494 and have a great chance to hand Surrey their first league defeat of the summer.

  5. Lunch at Chelmsfordpublished at 13:02 British Summer Time 13 June 2023

    Essex 462-9 dec & 118-5 v Somerset 167

Not a bad morning for Somerset, who have taken four wickets in the opening session at Chelmsford, including the departure of Alastair Cook for 34.

But the events of the first two days mean this match is surely already beyond them, with Essex stretching their lead to 413 - Matt Critchley is their top scorer, unbeaten on 38.

The main question here is when Essex will declare - and whether Somerset can bat out a draw after they do.

  6. Lunch at Southportpublished at 13:02 British Summer Time 13 June 2023

    Lancs 374 v Hants 142 & 201-4

It was a superb opening hour for Hampshire as Nick Gubbins and Fletcha Middleton resumed their second wicket stand.

But Gubbins fell for 62, then quickly Middleton for 77 and George Balderson took a third wicket to leave Hampshire really struggling again.

James Vince, 18, will resume after lunch with Liam Dawson, 4, - can these Hampshire legends set up a defendable target this afternoon?

    They still trail by 31.

  7. wicket

    Burns c Leaning b Agar 4published at 13:00 British Summer Time 13 June 2023

    Kent 301 & 344 v Surrey 145 & 4-1

    Wow.

Rory Burns hit the first ball of Surrey's second innings for four - then gets out next ball, caught by Jack Leaning at slip.

Any faint Surrey hopes of victory have become even fainter.

  8. Essex lead passes 400published at 12:54 British Summer Time 13 June 2023

    Essex 462-9 dec & 115-5 v Somerset 167

Essex are plodding along in fairly mundane fashion at Chelmsford - then again anything is mundane compared to how Kent have been piling on the runs.

Matt Critchley is trying to up their run rate a bit, picking off a loose one from Kasey Aldridge to hit a lovely six, and the Essex lead is now up to 411.

KENT ALL OUT FOR 344 - LEAD BY 500published at 12:49 British Summer Time 13 June 2023

    Quinn b Clark 37 - Kent 301 & 344 v Surrey 145

A simply majestic Kent tail-end effort comes to an end as, after hitting Jordan Clark for six and then four, Matt Quinn's middle stump is taken out of the ground by the Surrey paceman.

Kent's lead is a nice round 500 - and Surrey will have a nervy few minutes to negotiate with the bat before lunch as they attempt to nibble away at that hefty target.

  10. wicket

WICKET Brown c Salt b Balderson 0published at 12:46 British Summer Time 13 June 2023

    Lancs 374 v Hants 142 & 183-4

Two in the over for George Balderson!

A full ball in the channel just outside off, Ben Brown pokes at it, rather uncommitted, and nicks a low catch to the keeper.

Brown gone for a third-ball duck and this burst from Balderson has put Lancashire firmly on course for victory.

  11. wicket

NOTTS ALL OUTpublished at 12:45 British Summer Time 13 June 2023

    Notts 155 (Paterson c Hannon-Dalby b Briggs 9) v Warks 571-9d

Warwickshire have wrapped up the Notts first innings at Trent Bridge.

Danny Briggs introduced and immediate gets Dane Patterson to end the innings.

A shocker from Notts, who will now (surely) follow-on 416 behind.

  12. wicket

WICKET Middleton b Balderson 77published at 12:43 British Summer Time 13 June 2023

    Lancs 374 v Hants 142 & 183-3

    George Balderson again for Lancashire!

Fletcha Middleton can't go on to a big score either.

He's done by a full ball that shapes away just enough to beat his outside edge and clip off stump.

Superb delivery and Lancashire right back on top, still with a lead of 49.

  13. 6 runs

Another two sixes for Quinnpublished at 12:43 British Summer Time 13 June 2023

    Kent 301 & 331-9 v Surrey 145

From six to 11, Kent's final six batters hit 258 runs in their first innings - and they've added 156 in this second innings. Quite the effort.

Slight delay at Canterbury where Matt Quinn needs a concussion check after being struck on the helmet by a ball from Sean Abbott that went for four leg byes. Kind of sums up Surrey's day so far.

But he's fine to continue - and, haha, smashes Abbott away for six on the first ball of the resumption to pay him back for that bouncer. And then another maximum off Jordan Clark a few balls later.

  14. Division Two latestpublished at 12:41 British Summer Time 13 June 2023

Derbyshire's lead over Yorkshire continues to grow in Chesterfield.

They're now 328-5, 86 ahead, with skipper Leus du Plooy unbeaten on 133. Some comeback from 17-4!

    Durham's first-innings lead over Glamorgan is exactly 100 now. They're on 490-7.

Leicestershire opener Rishi Patel is out for 59 against Gloucestershire - Zaman Akhter has both openers now.

The Foxes are 109-2, still trailing by 255.

Sussex are off to an excellent start in their second innings against Worcestershire. Tom Haines has flown to 65 and they're 98-0, leading by 36.

  15. 6 runs

for Kent's Quinnpublished at 12:35 British Summer Time 13 June 2023

    Kent 301 & 313-9 v Somerset 167

Somerset are not used to this. Kent are showing no respect to the leaders.

Last man Matt Quinn goes four, six, four off three successive deliveries from Sean Abbott who has gone for 1-86 so far in this innings.

The hosts lead by 469 - too much even for Surrey's deep, high-quality batting line-up surely?

  16. wicket

    Khushi c Abell b Aldridge 2published at 12:32 British Summer Time 13 June 2023

    Essex 462-9 & 100-5 v Somerset 167

The Essex lead is almost 400 and they're getting a bit sloppy - not too surprising considering they are in full control here.

Feroze Khushi departs for just two, caught at slip by Tom Abell.

  17. wicket

WICKET Ball c Yates b Rhodes 5published at 12:31 British Summer Time 13 June 2023

    Notts 143-9 v Warks 571-9d

The Bears skipper Wil Rhodes has another to get rid of Jake Ball and Notts are almost done here.

  18. wicket

    Qadri c Jacks b Clark 72published at 12:30 British Summer Time 13 June 2023

    Kent 201 & 291-9 v Surrey 145

Hamidullah Qadri's excellent innings ends at Canterbury as Jordan Clark claims a fourth scalp.

Arshdeep Singh comes in and smashes two boundaries off his first two balls - the latter falling inches short of the rope, so close to a six.

  19. wicket

    Cook c Lammonby b Aldridge 34published at 12:23 British Summer Time 13 June 2023

    Essex 462-9 dec & 98-4 v Somerset 167

    Chef's goose is cooked.

Alastair Cook is caught at mid-wicket by Kasey Aldridge - no repeat of the former England captain's first-innings century at Chelmsford then.

  20. wicket

    Agar b Clark 0published at 12:21 British Summer Time 13 June 2023

    Kent 301 & 290-8 v Surrey 145

Two wickets in three balls for Jordan Clark as he completely blitzes the stumps to remove Wes Agar.

Tail-ender Agar made an excellent 51 in the first innings but it's famine not feast for him this time.
