    Somerset 163 v Nottinghamshire 145-4

    Somerset fought their way back into this match with three quick wickets after tea, with Matt Henry (2-33) in fine form.

    But a patient unbeaten 67 from Ben Slater and Steven Mullaney’s quick 23 not out from 25 balls have guided Notts to a strong position at stumps - 18 behind with six wickets in hand.

    Brett Hutton (5-34) will rightly take the day one headlines in bowling the home side out for a meagre 163 inside 50 overs.

    Fourteen wickets have fallen on day one and any kind of lead would look handy.

    Dan Lawrence is finally gone for 152.

    The Durham wicketkeeper cements a fine day for Durham with a century.

    Ollie Robinson brings up his seventh first-class ton off 143 balls with back-to-back boundaries off Chris Wright.

    Durham are nearing a fourth batting bonus point.

    There's four overs left in the day and Notts will be desperate to go in without further loss.

    But they don't appear to be shutting up shop quite yet.

    Steven Mullaney clubs an overpitched delivery from Shoaib Bashir straight back over the bowler's head for six, and then takes two fours off the spinner.

    The deficit is suddenly down to 23 runs.

    The rain that's been skirting the ground for a while finally arrives, sending the players and umpires racing back to the pavilion and the covers in the other direction.

    There's still 7.2 overs scheduled today, but that could be that for the day. The big covers are coming on.

    If so, Yorkshire will be pretty chuffed with their day's work.

    The runs keep coming for Dan Lawrence at Chelmsford as the rather makeshift Bears attack continue to suffer.

    Liam Dawson runs three - getting back with room to spare - and that takes him to a century.

    It's come from 164 balls and included 11 fours and one six.

    Nick Gubbins is on 89 not out at the other end and we've got about seven overs remaining.

    Durham continue to dole out the punishment to the Leicestershire attack.

    Ollie Robinson (71 not out) brings up the 350 in the 85th over as the fifth-wicket stand with Graham Clark (60 not out) moves to 131.

    The hosts will be aching for the close but there's still 12 overs to go.

  11. WORCESTERSHIRE ALL OUT FOR 237

    Worcestershire 237 v Derbyshire

    Dillon Pennington is last man out for Worcestershire and it's Anuj Dal who takes the scalp to register his fifth wicket of the game.

    Jake Libby was the star of the show for Worcestershire in their first innings, hitting 78 before being being removed by Dal, who took 5-45 from 18.2 overs.

    Fellow opener Gareth Roderick hit 40 as the Pears were on top early on but Derbyshire turned the tables in the afternoon session taking four wickets.

    They wrapped things up with the second ball of the 84th over and the Pears will have about 12 overs to bowl at Derbyshire until the close.

    Somerset are right back in this.

    Matt Henry has been bang on the money and gets his reward as he makes Lyndon James play just outside off stump and finds his outside edge.

    Tom Abell does the rest, swooping low to take a fine slips catch in front of him.

    The skipper will be feeling better after missing Slater earlier in the over.

    A 10-ball duck for the all-rounder and Steven Mullaney is in with Notts still 58 behind.

    It has not been straightforward out there, but Ben Slater brings up his fifty off 104 balls.

    He is given a lifeline on 45 when an outside edge off Matt Henry flies between a big gap between wicketkeeper and first slip.

    After losing Ben Compton early on in their reply, Kent have calmed things down.

    Notts trail by 69 and Lyndon James is in.
