Millington: Luke: He told me enough, he told me you got a hat trick!

    Vader: No Luke, I…have… a four-fer.

    Best I got, sorry.

    Goodness me...

    I am wrong, sorry.

My colleague at the ground Stephan Shemilt tells me it is hammering down.

Dr Russell Watkins: Darth Vader is going to the French bakery to get three baguettes and two desserts. It's his favourite: pain, pain, pain, tarte tatin, tarte tatin.

That took me a while, but, bravo Dr Watkins.

The other issue, which is actually a concerning one, is Moeen's finger. It doesn't look too bad but it's actually a nasty injury as a spinner. I text Simon Harmer, what he said I can't repeat, but he did say to maybe change his grip. Joe Root could be a very defensive bowler. It's another little intrigue into this game.

Max Levene: New innings and Vader arrested is there ‘a new hope’ for England!

Super Mik Arteta: I'll tell you what, it gives me A New Hope for this innings.

It wouldn't shock me if England set 250 then pulled out. All I'm saying is, never be surprised. I don't think they'd do it, but I wouldn't be shocked.

Australia set their field from the off so England relied on ones and twos early on, until Ben Duckett found the boundary with this lovely paddle sweep.

I think 270, England would snap your hand off for it. I think that gives you a really good chance. If you could push to 300, 320 for a fourth innings on a wearing wicket, it would make England very favourable.

I reckon it's the right call, it looks like dry rain, looks worse than it actually is.

Frankie C: Raining here in Kings Heath, about 2 miles from the ground. Hope it misses the ground!
