Harry Brook looks so comfortable playing on the off side to the off-spin of Nathan Lyon. Hitting against the spin, on a spinning wicket, you'd normally prefer it as a off-spinner but Brook looks so good.

Slightly too short and Harry Brook goes back to thrash the ball through the off side.

It was on the stumps but the length meant that Brook was confident in giving himself room and taking it on.

Slightly later that we might have expected but we're going to see some spin. Nathan Lyon is on for his first over of the day.

Fierce bouncer from Pat Cummins late in the over and it crunches into Joe Root's bat handle. Well played in thee end but it did surprise him.

Of course, Root decides the best option is to come down the pitch next ball! It ends with a defensive shot but the intent is there. He is not going to back down.
