Moeen is clearly in trouble with his finger. He talked a positive game this morning.
I wonder if it is time for a change at that end so he can go off and try to get it sorted.

Ollie Pope saved four at short leg.
Eeesh. Ollie Pope is stationed at short leg as Moeen Ali continues and is clocked on the thigh by a pull from Marnus Labuschagne.
He'll have a juicy bruise to show off tomorrow.
England bowling coach David Saker is spying through some binoculars in the hope of spotting something which might assist Ben Stokes.
Usman Khawaja is stoic with the bat as sees off another over from Ollie Robinson without much alarm, picking up a couple of runs with a guide down to deep third.
Ollie Robinson continues.
Here's how he bagged England's first wicket - that of David Warner - in his last over.

A reverse sweep to get off his pair and he's made it look so easy. That shows a certain confidence.
Marnus Labuschagne gets off the pair, by reverse sweeping Moeen Ali for a boundary. With no fielder down at third he repeats the shot off the final ball of the over to pick up another four.
Moeen Ali is into his fifth over of the afternoon at the other end. Usman Khawaja rotates the strike to bring Marnus Labuschagne on strike.
Moeen spins one out of the footmarks and Labuschagne tentatively pushes at it with bat and pad but the ball drops safe.
Ben Stokes reacts by bringing in a couple of catchers on the leg side.
"Wooooahhh-ooooh" is the gasp from the crowd as the twitchy Marnus Labuschagne nervously keeps a full-ish delivery from Ollie Robinson.

Look at this for a first-ball golden duck opportunity for Marnus Labuschagne.
It's an umbrella field with everyone around the bat.
The crowd are up... Marnus Labuschagne is on a king pair.
Joe Root waggles his arms to rev up the England fans in the stands.

Just for a moment it looked as though he was going to hang around but no, he knows.
Robinson is full of delight as a disconsolate Warner walks off.

England were desperate for that breakthrough and they got it. Cross-seam delivery from Robinson, just held up and bounced a bit on David Warner.
He looked up for the fight but just the faintest of edges and Jonny Bairstow decided he was going to hang on to this one.
Warner c Bairstow b Robinson 36 (Aus 61-1)
Gone! My word, England needed that.
A very faint edge as David Warner feathers one from Ollie Robinson and this time it is a routine take for Jonny Bairstow and he comfortably gobbles up the catch.
The ball kissed the turf and just straightened enough persuading Warner to prod at it.
David Warner punishes more short bobbins from Ollie Robinson as he clinically pulls it to the boundary.
Here's how Warner dispatched the England seamer to the boundary a little earlier.
Joe Root is loosening up.

It just gets something in the batsman's head. It's something Ben Stokes is very good at doing.

This is getting dangerous, it's getting uncomfortable for England.
They're looking flat, the pitch is flat and they need a spark.
The faces of England's players are painted with worried looks, currently. They know the game is slipping away from them after this start by David Warner and Usman Khawaja.
Ben Stokes turns to a little bit of tomfoolery in a bid to unsettle the pair. The England captain stations himself at deep mid-off, very close to the eyeline of the bowler's arm.
However, Khawaja happy to see off a maiden from Moeen Ali.
